Up until now, no major Canadian online outlet had Rock Band bundles.

Now, Futureshop does. Check out the date though...

Yep, that's about as official as I needed it to be. We'll be heading south very early on the 20th.

But even if they were low on supply the way you're supposed to release in "North America" is you take a percentage (no matter how small it is) and ship that percentage to Canada. It's always been like that, regardless of shortages. This is pretty much saying "We don't have enough copies for everyone so instead of sharing it with that "other country" we're going to just divide amongst the USA. Before more Euros and Aussies come in here to plead there case, you guys knew your release date before-hand. We just learned of our delay no more than two weeks prior to it. Not to mention we're just north of the border.

There will be something to replace it (my bets are on European delay), either that or people will "just find out the news" and make another thread complaining about it.

I reckon its short supply plus the fact they have to re-write the manuals with french (i think? Im not sure, i live in england :D ).
As long as they seperate the release dates and not call them "north american", I dont see why it would have any legal issues.

I don't think they have taken any preorders yet. They simply have the listing up and will take preorders once they know how many bundles they can sell.

Just a guess on my part...

I guess the one good thing coming out of this is that I believe both FS and BB had GH3 Bundle release dates at 10/23 before changing it on the day of 10/23 or soon before it to 10/28. So they've made mistakes before.

I just want to point out that they have the 360 version listed for 12/19, the PS3 version for 12/20 and the PS2 version for 01/15/08.

Oh and as an added twist, the PS2 Game Only comes out before all of them, 12/13. Somethings not right here...

This is all speculation. I was told by EB yesterday that they were releasing it November 20th.

the guy above me is right , i called eb today too see where i was on preorpder list and asked release , he said december 20th but its up in the air because no one has a solid date , he told me december 20th wasnt a confirmed date , and they could get brfore the 20 of november on 20th or after 20th , nobody knows , he said it going back anf forth in the last week he said they have heard three dates , and that it has jumped back to november 20th in emails and then back to december in database

I do believe the release date to be dec 20th, but this is the OFFICIAL RockBand site and I'm still waiting for someone OFFICIAL from this site to deliver the news.

If you are able to eventually preorder from futureshop.ca I wouldn't get too excited. I preordered GH3 from there and it still hasn't shipped. :(

It says that we're sold out because it was just put onto the website - They'll change it to "pre-order...Estimated release date Dec. 20" something like that soon. I work for Future Shop and I've seen many items go up online, and usually when they're first put up they'll say that to prevent people from trying to buy it. If you actually read the description, it does say it's released Dec. 20th.

It's funny because even though I saw it go up, I was scrounging through these forums to find official word as a release date in Canada, and I found this thread ;)
