Just throwing these out here. I think both these packs would be realistic to license and add to the game, fill in some gaps in the current setlist and DLC list, and would be pretty popular if they were released. Plus, they'd be fun on all the instruments!

Prog Rock Pack:
"The Spirit Of Radio" or "Limelight" - Rush
"Owner of a Lonely Heart" - Yes
"Brain Damage" or "Comfortably Numb" - Pink Floyd
Maybe a Genesis song in place of one of those.

Arena Rock Pack:
"More Than A Feeling" - Boston
"Come Sail Away" - Styx
"Don't Stop Believin" - Journey
Maybe in place of one of those "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick, or another Foreigner song like "Cold As Ice" or "Double Vision".

Thoughts?

I think "I want you to want me" would be great. I think it'd be one of the best choices, in fact.

more cheap trick ! lol

I think they should give us the Sabbath pack for free since it's all covers. But I don't know.Either that or Rockaway Beach since that was suppose to be in the game anyways.

If we're putting styx in there, I want to sing renegade. Right when I heard about this game, I knew I wanted radar love in there, too. More classic rock that people have heard of, less weird stuff nobody knows.

Where the freak is clapton at? Layla or something, give me a break!!!

I agree with your sentiment that they're not the "proggy"-est songs, but I feel like they're good fits for the game because a) people would have heard of them and be excited to buy them b) they're is a good amount of singing, not just instrumentals and c) they're not overly long like many prog songs are. We can save the 18-minute long Dream Theater shredder tracks for Guitar Hero 4. ;) Maybe it shouldn't be called the "Prog Rock" pack, but I couldn't think of a better name to group those similar bands together.

I want Renegade, too, but it's not half as epic as Come Sail Away.

Also, replace More Than A Feeling with Don't Look Back, or a Boston song we haven't already gotten.

Also, I want five-song packs:

Prog Rock:

The Spirit of Radio - Rush
Starship Trooper - Yes
Time - Pink Floyd
Icarus (Borne on the Wings of Steel) - Kansas
Willie the Pimp - Frank Zappa

Ten-Minutes-and-Counting Epics:

2112 - Rush
Dogs - Pink Floyd
Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Iron Maiden
Child in Time - Deep Purple
Incomudro - Hymn to the Atman - Kansas

Arena Rock:

Don't Look Back - Boston
Blue Collar Man - Styx
Wheel in the Sky - Journey
Stiff Competition - Cheap Trick
Reaction to Action - Foreigner

Power Ballads (Arena Rock II):

A Man I'll Never Be - Boston
Faithfully - Journey
The Flame - Cheap Trick
I Want to Break Free - Queen
Can't Stop Lovin' You - Van Halen
