just wondering, I mean, I'm not a total fan, but I don't cringe everytime I hear their music as I do at other bands

Nothing's wrong with Creed. Human Clay's a great album.

I think their first couple of albums sold too well. You hear the songs way too often, and the guy's voice becomes annoying, and the guitar riffs becomes amazingly repetitive.
Then the third album comes out, and it's pretty much the same as the other two, but at that point, you'd prefer to eat glass than listen to it.
You might need more than two hands to count the number of hit songs these guys put out in their first two albums, and no one can deny it - that's an incredible accomplishment... but seriously. Please. No more Creed.

yeah, I've heard that he takes his singing style from Vedder...i mean, honestly the only songs I like are:
One, With Arms Wide Open, and Higher. Maybe a couple others

Nothing really, they sounded like everything else on the radio at the time, unremarkable and completely forgettable.

yeah, I'm starting to figure out what happens when I don't listen to the radio, lol.
For example. I'm in love with Sugarland's "Stay" song, and yet, apparently it's overplayed. I wouldn't know, lol

I don't think they were terrible so much as they were bland and mediocre. Like cdestey said, they sounded like all the other mopey bands on the radio at the time.

For me it was always Scott Stapp's invented accent, like half-Swedish, half-horse. I call it Stappese.
He never sang "arms wide open", it was always "ahm zwei dough pon" and after a while his Eddie Vedder meets Cher in hell tone just got on my nerves.

Dude thatz funneh! True true... I seen Creed live in South Bend IN. It was freaking awesome. For being outdoors the sound quality was amazing.
Nothing is wrong with them, just bigger/better bands came out since them like Bred By Society...!
Now those guys kick @$$~!
