Even the David Bowie songs are listed as not masters, even though suffragette city is a master. I would prefer masters for artists like David Bowie.

Actually, OXM lists the Bowie songs as a mix of masters and covers. Moonage Daydream will probably be a master since it was off the same album as Suffragette City. (50/50 chance on the other two)
Not sure about the single songs announced. I can't imagine they're all covers, but it doesn't mention specifically.

I hope the ratio of DLC covers/masters is similar to the ratio in the retail disc.

In the cases where they aren't masters for Bowie, it's probably just a matter of masters not being available (i.e. nonexistent).
But if you look at the list, a large majority of the DLC are masters (most of the single songs will be masters I'm sure).
