360 Freeze Up--Plus Guitar Crappyness

Hey forum folks, Since I bought the big bundle for my 360 about 2 weeks ago the guitar wont activate overdrive, it wont strum upwards...only downwards....the directional pad on it barely works-----Now on to the game It freezes every single time I play it....I took the game back got a new one from wal mart andit freezes to....deleted ALL the data already on my 360 hdd and tried that....no cigar....I unplugged my ethernet cable so it wouldnt download any updates and tried it ....still locks up...and i know for a fact it isnt my 360 cause it never locks up on anything else I own...So im just looking for a reason for spending 183 dollars for something I cant use if anyone doesnt mind helping me I would appreciate it alot...sorry for the salty overtones but this is really aggrivating.

At the top of this forum is some troubleshooting and warranty replacement information. Your guitar is definitely faulty, and you can get a replacement. EA can also tell you if there's a problem with your disk. Are you sure the laser isn't dirty?
