By now with only a week and three days we're all pretty excited for RB right? Well most of us our just pouring our eyes all over pre released info, vids, theese forums, etc. Well whats the most die hard thing you've down to prepare for RB? Me I'll practice the drum rhythms for the songs with my two hands a leg and the air, with the showing of nothing put pure literal gameplay (as it is when we play) Blitzkrieg Bop video I pulled out my GH guitar and played with the song, I didn't miss a note on bass or guitar expert :D. But what have you done?

Nothing too hardcore, but I did set up a Napster playlist of the original 45 announced songs so I can familiarize myself with the ones I hadn't heard much or at all before. I may head over to Guitar Center for a mike stand.
Other than that, I've been spending a lot of time looking at the videos on this site, and daydreaming...

My a playlist in itunes and listen to it on the way to work (to get the vocals down) and buy a mic stand and a pair of drum sticks and beat the hell out of the ottoman

I wrote a complete profile (using the creation videos as guides) for each of my planned characters... and a 2 page backstory about their exploits and goals in life. I feel like SUCH a damn geek, but it was fun designing some tragic story of a missing daughter from the grunge movement back to reclaim her family's throne. :D
Also, I made an iTunes playlist, buying a few tracks to fill it out, so I could get the songs under my belt before I gotta sing/play them.

On a side note are the drumsticks that come with the game have like the RB logo around them you know where it's all blue its Rock Band you got the drummer will they be wrapped around them?
EDIT:

Same here Hexcoda and if I do say so myself that last part was rather touching.
Hmmm These threads will be empty on the 20th.

Cramming my head chock-full of lyrics and playing the demo as often as I can so I can practice drum improv to rock the fills once I get to the big-time.
Also, I've been mulling over what design I'd want to customize my Strat with when I get it.

Practicing on Guitar Hero 2 and a couple of the Karaoke Revolution games. I'll probably also get a mike stand in order to play guitar and sing at the same time so that I can play BWT alone.

I just got my mic stand and drum throne from UPS today and set it up. Been visiting Walmart and getting acquainted with the demo there and been listening to the same 45 songs over...and over...and over again. I am so damn ready, I can barely stand it.

tomorrow (or later today) i'm gonna head to a lovely place entitled Guitar Center for the persuit of a stand that holds microphones. it shall be an epic struggle of brains versus brawn. after that is complete, i shall stride over to the percussion section and practice on a synth drum kit and then pick up some sticks. if you haven't seen the thread about drum sticks on this site, check it out. it is a lifesaver. after that, idk, i just cannot wait till the 20th!

I bought myself a Surround Sound system, to immerse myself in the rock, and hopefully drown out the noise of the drum pads a bit.
Not a great sound system, mind you. In fact, probably the worst one you could get. I got a Durabrand system at Wal-Mart for $40. Cable TV sounds a little tinny on it, but the 360 sounds pretty good, and MP3s sounds fantastic. Should be a good fit.

Well, I haven't really done anything "hardcore" to prepare. The only thing I've done was play Guitar Hero II to get ready. Although, I'm mostly going to play the drums in Rock Band. I might go play some Amplitude to get more rhythm games in.

Honestly? Things just kinda worked out for my wife and I regarding the timing of some recent major purchases, and Rockband.
This Monday we're picking up a 52" HD LCD TV (two days from now).
Later this week we should be getting some stuff to help quiet the drumkit.
The following Monday we'll probably take our P.A. system (I use it for our jam sessions) and our mixer, set it up in our media room, put the speakers up on the stands flanking the new TV, and hook the Xbox up to the mixer through the aux in channel. These are the sorts of powered speakers that are used for sound in small clubs. This should provide enough sound to make our eardrums bleed.
I'll set up one of our mike stands as well, and one of the seats we use as a drum throne.
My wife took the week off for Thanksgiving, so Tuesday we pick up Rock Band in the morning, go home, hook it up to the Xbox, and go to town.
52" HDTV and a stage-ready speaker system, a week off from work/school, and leftover turkey to nibble on.
It might be overkill, but we'll have fun.

yeah, i have taken on a rockstar persona including fake accents, horrible fashion sense, drinking and several drug habits which I have broken and unbroken through my 3 trips to rehab over the last week. Yeah, I think I'm ready . . . jk, lol. I have just been listening to the music, confirmation of Nevermind was nice, got me back into Nirvana again haven't listened to them in ages, but i listened to about half their discography today. Time flies . . .
