I pre-ordered my bundle back on October 20th. Now i'm not in town on Tuesday the 20th the morning it comes out, but I will be there later that day (probably 2 or 3). So should I be worried that if I go into gamestop at 3 I won't get my copy? If so i'm thinking about sending a friend of mine to go get my copy in the morning but I don't know if it's necessary or not.

ask them if there getting enough to fill preorders and tell them you want to make sure it will still be there in the afternoon, then if they say yes get there name so if yout do happen to go back and your preorder dissapeared you have some ammo, and then call the district manager

mine told me that there getting enough to fill them and not taking anymore so i guarantee you ill raise hell if its not there when i go to pick it up

Instead of breaking necks and throwing punches, just bring your receipt.
THEY HAVE TO GIVE YOU ONE.

Yeah if you preordered they have to give you one and they should have one bundle for each preorder so I wouldn't worry.

Depends on company policy.

Its pretty standard they'll hold it for you for like, 2-3 days before calling you to give you one last warning that they're gonna release it. So you have nothing to worry about. I won't be picking my pre-order up till the 21st.

well they cant give you something they sold to somebody else (i have had this happen to me before)

so i called the district manager and she overnighted a copy to the store

thats what I was getting at allthough breaking necks is pretty satisfying

What the... I wouldn't be worried at all about picking it up by 3 oclock. I won't be getting mine until like 6 after I get out of class....

I spoke with the dude at Gamestop and they said they hold the game for you for 48 hours and then they sell it to a customer. You will still have it paid off, but you wont be have one guaranteed in stock for you.

You should still be able to get the bundle at 3pm but from my experience the earlier the better. (I'll be there when the store opens)

I work at gamestop.......

yes, the company policy for pre-orders is to hold the game for the first 48 hours. and after that, if the person who reserved it doesn't pick it up, then it can be sold off to a walk in costomer.

so you dont need to worry about what time you get there, as long as it's within the first 2 days. your copy will be waiting for you.

as far as reserves and how many copies we're getting. First off when sending shipments to stores, they look at how many reserves they have at each store and they make sure to send at least that much to the stores. and then if they have anything left over, then those are pretty much the "bonus" copies that are split up between the stores.

Also with Rock Band GameStop already figured out, this past week how many reserves each store had, and how many extras each store was getting.
So at the time, every store knew they were getting at least the amount of reserves coming in, and also how many extras they were getting.
and we were instructed that we could continue selling reservations on it untill the number of reserves reached the amount of bundles we were getting.

I can't tell you how many my store is getting. but I can say that the PS3 version is already reserved out. and for the 360 version we only have a few more left to reserve. and we are getting more copies of the 360 version.

and even if you can't pick it up within the 48 hours, you could probably call the store and tell them that you need a few more days and if they could hold it on the side for you till a certain day. I don't see why they wouldn't do so for you. Since later shipments after the release will probably be in short supply.

The bottom line is, If you reserved it. You're getting it.
If you didn't reserve it... you're NOT going to be able to get it this year. and I'm going to tell you, "I told you so."

They say new releases are held for 48 hours when you pre-order, though my instincts say don't trust it I guess its true.

Gamestop policy is that they will hold a pre order for you for 48 hours. After that, you're on your own. My advice is to g-- Well I'm kind of repeating what's been said but yeah. Get there ASAP

If they aren't able to give you your game when you game when you've preorderd/reserved and paid in full within the 48 hours. There's like an unwritten rule that you are allowed to riot and cause mass destruction.

I always carry Molotove cocktails to gamestop... Because I like to smoke my cigerrette with style!
