View Full Version : Worst cold ever...

Right now I have a rolling fever, a really sore throat and I am dizzy when I stand up. :(

But by far the worst cold I ever got was a time when I had a fever so badly that I was pretty close to deleriouis. Not crazy, but just saying nonsensical things sometimes that had NOTHING to do with anything that was going on.

Example: I had really wierd dreams one day while my parents were home moving things around in our office. I woke up and walked in (which I only sort of vaguely remember) and asked "Are you guys building something?" I don't really remember what happened after that, I'm pretty sure I wasn't totally awake.

SO how about it? What's the worst virus you've had?

(We don't need to get into TOO much detail with it, especially if it involves bodily processes) XP

I think that I've basically had a cold/runny nose for the past 2 or 3 years. I can't remember a time when I could smell well

This thread is fail.

Antartica at night is the worst cold ever. At least on earth.

One time I was very sick, and I was waking up every 30 minutes to get a drink of water. It was horrible. :[

I once developed a sinus infection which somehow brought the flu. I remember the fever caused me to say some things you might expect from someone on LSD. It was sometime in the winter and I was just a wee little 5th grader.

I remember feeling completely fine the day before. That night, I had an awful, terrible nightmare and woke up with one hell of a flu (I think it was flu, I can't even remember at this point.)

Mono. I had Mono when I was 21. If you've never had it, pray that you never get it. At the time, my doc said he wasn't surprised as it usually hits between 15 and 25 years of age, especially in the college years.

It was horrendous. I won't go into details but the scariest part is that your spleen can swell and if you're not careful you can rupture it. Bleh.

Have you had that checked out? You could have a chronic sinus problem or serious allergies. I tend to have problems with my sinuses at least 3 times a year. Sucks big time.

not yet. I did break my nose a few month's before it happened, so on my next physical or check up or whatever, I'll probably try to find out if it's related to that

I had a fever dream where I was in an UFO and it was falling so fast that everything outside the window was just a huge motion blur. Y'know that feeling of your heart jumping up into your throat when you're like on a scary amusement park ride? That's how I felt the entire time. I was desperately grabbing at the controls to try and stop it.... I woke up the following morning... in my parent's room. Curled up at the end of their bed like a puppy dog. o_O I asked my dad later that day what had happened, and he said I came into their room in the middle of the night.. crawling and crying like I was dying or something. Weird.

Currently, I am afflicted with something I have no idea what it is. I woke up with a super dry throat, stuffed nose, and slightly runny nose. Then later the congestion in my sinuses got greater and started getting a pounding headache (especially at the temples). Today's the third day, and I've been trying to cope with Tylenol Cold/flu pills.. I've been coughing up some yellow-green crap and my chest hurts sometimes after I cough. I hope it's not serious. ;o~

About a year ago, I got had the flu. I just sat on a couch all day, pretty much not moving due to the pain it brought to my head.

One Christmas, probably about ten years ago, my brother came down with the stomach flu. He proceeded to give it to everyone in the family...our immediate family and our grandparents, aunts, uncles. Everybody was sick for the next two days. It's still the stuff of legend at family gatherings...it's brought up almost every time we're together.

The worst I've personally ever been sick was one or two years ago. It was the stomach flu again, only this time I had the worst stomach pain I've ever experienced, and I'm lactose intolerant so I deal with it almost daily. Absolutely horrible...my mother almost took me to the emergency room it was so bad.
