Has it been officaly confirmed that the Rockband guitar will be wireless? Does it use the same wireless tech as the xbox 360 does? I'm aware that Red Octane was able to get the rights to use that tech, but did harmonix get those same rights as well?

Also, will the rock band guitar work for Guitar Hero II? I know that we can't bu sure about III yet.

Yes All Guitars Will be Wireless , I Dont Know About The 360 Since There was This Tech Problem With Gh2 For It , We Dont Know Yet , Probably will be Backwards Compatible.

there was no tech problem. I doubt that the new guitars will be able to be used with GH2.

Microsoft just did not give them permission to make it wireless before, I'm sure rock band will be because GH3 is. If rock band isnt then SHAME ON THEM.

Because of micrsoft's whole "it's our wireless technology so get lost" attitude is it possible that xbox wireless guitars could cost an extra 5 or 10 bucks? I think it's pretty unlikely, but someone somewhere mentioned it.

Well, I remember that somone from harmonix said its up to Activison if the Rockband guitar would work on GH III. Heres what I HOPE happens.

harmonix made GHII, thus they know how to make the hardware work with the game. Thus the rockband guitar will work for GH II. Since the X-Plorer will work on GH III, and the GH III guitar will work on GH II, one could assume that the if the rockband guitar works for II, it should work for III.

Well, no offical price yet but im sure MS has their fingers on a cut of all sales of Guitar Hero since they lincesed them the tech. If Rockband had the same deal than yeah, I'm expecting a $70 axe :(

yes, but if you allow another companies periperal to work on your game you are losing money on yours.

Yup, the 360 Guitar controller is gonna cost about 20 bucks more, cause of the wireless issue..
