I come to these forums bearing the most important question of the last 20 years. I seek the wisdom of the Rockband.com forums in helping me end the debate that has plagued mankind since it's inception:

Which was the better musical score from original Metroid on NES; the theme from Kriad's Lair or the original Brinstar theme?

:confused: The world may never have a decisive answer, but hopefully this poll will help to shed some light on the issue.

Please feel free to argue either way and discuss.

Well perhaps... definitely the Solid Snake theme from Metal Gear II, but if you had to pick from the choices given? Because that's the real debate. Which of those two songs is better musically?

I voted for Kraid's Lair but it was a tough choice. I feel like the opening chunk of Brinstar is pretty awesome, but the rest doesn't do much for me. I feel the exact opposite about Kraid's. So so opening, really cool after that.

The main theme from the menu is also extremely classic.

I don't know about Norfair... Maybe there's a difference between "lower Norfair" and just norfair, but I think it's pretty repetitive.

there is a difference, go to the site I listed, and listen to Lower Norfair from the Super Metroid section

Brinstar sounds a lot like zelda to me.

First thing I'd like to say is..... GEEEK!!!! *points finger at you* xD

I was gonna say Brinstar, but it reminds me a lot of Zelda.. the first one sounds a lot more metroidy to me and it's got lots of variations in it that fits the theme of the game. More dark and foreboding.

EDIT: ^ ha, I'm not the only one that thinks Brinstar sounds like zelda. :p
