Who said anything about instruments? I'm talking about Activision using the same song in 3 diffrent games. IE: You have to buy it 3 times unlike Rock Band where it's all working together. Is everyone ******ed today?

"You've Got Another Thing Comin'" I've bought three times. Once for GH1 for PS2, again for GH2 DLC, and again in Rock Band. Similar thing with "Message In A Bottle". Got it for GH2 for PS2, again for GH2 for 360, and then again in Rock Band.

Man, that looked so hideously un-fun. Everytime I see a custom crapfest like that, it lowers my hopes of seeing decent fan-made content in GH:WT.

On an unrelated note, that video reminded me of playing MegaMan III waaaay back in the day, and getting one of my friends to hold Right on the second controller the whole time so I could jump higher :)

Rock Band doesn't re-use the same songs :confused:

Carry On Wayward Son was a cover in GH2.

Round and Round was also a cover in GH: 80's. (naming a non-music game to support your argument is STUPID. HMX doesn't make GTA)


Message in a Bottle was also a cover in GH2. You are not forced to buy the DLC

More than a Feeling was a cover in GH1. Released as DLC. See "Message in a Bottle". Again, HMX =/= singstar. Just because a song is in singstar, doesnt mean it shouldn't be in rock band. Shut the f*** up.

The OP's point is:

Why should I spend 60 bucks to buy a game, when im getting re-used songs? That's ripping people off. Maybe when you get a J O B, you'll learn to be more careful with your money.

And that's exactly the reason I'm not getting the game. Stupidly charted songs make the game unfun. For those getting the game: Enjoy your player-created songs ridden with 4 and 5 note chords made by 12 year olds who know nothing about rhythm, melody, instruments, and music in general.

exactly. as much as i preferred gh3's on-disc setlist, i play the songs and go "what the hell?" i don't expect anything better from gh4. and the setlist is terrible... Flo Rida??? they do have a couple good songs, and not all of it has been released yet, but i am going to want to kill myself over the gameplay if i do buy it.

that's why i prefer a game made by harmonix, who, though i don't always agree with their song choices, are devoted to music and really know what they are doing, as opposed to the FPS and spiderman developer known as activision.

edit: nvm about activision, i forgot theyre the publisher and neversoft is the developer. so change that to "the tony hawk developer known as neversoft".

I'm buying guitar hero: World tour because....I like Guitar hero type games.
Also I have no redicilous loyalty to any one company.
This 'overcharted' nonsence doesn't bother me one iota.

I will, and then I'll enjoy masterpieces that very musically talented GH fans have made. I guarantee you there will be good stuff coming from the music creator. Not everyone who is musically talented HAS to play RB.

Also, WTF at the 12 year old comment? So now you have to be mature to play Rock Band? Only little kids play Guitar Hero? Thats just stupid.
