Basically, I was wondering if anyone else remembers this old gem? For those who don't know or remember it (or are too young to have known about it) the gameplay concept is basically this: You start off with some money, which you use to put together a band and manage it, picking which venues to play and so on, doing your best to earn money and win over new fans in the hopes of ultimately achieving Rock Stardom. Sound familiar?
Of course, it goes without saying that Rock Band's going to be a lot more fun, seeing as how you'll actually be playing the gigs, instead of just (mis)managing your band and crossing your fingers. The two aren't exactly the same, but the underlying concept is undeniably very similar, only taken much, much further than was ever possible in the past.
So, in a sense, old is new again. Isn't technology great? :]
