I stated that in the original post that all videos were found by other users except one vid. All I did was consolidate and pretty up a single thread for it and offered to continue to update with new videos (and soon pictures since I've seen lots of pictures that go into things not covered like the band photo creator)

Figured I was bored and in some threads, some posters complained that they wished all the videos were grouped in one thread...and here we are

On my agenda right now when I get off work (I got 24 hour duty...silly military) I have these things to do.

Find the original posts of people that found certain items and credit them...thought about it an I may as well.

Find those pictures I saw the other day that showed things about rockband 2 that none of the videos showed so far.

I know HMX isnt about releasing full charts with the game not even out yet, but I would love to see more songs demoed (30 secs like some) on expert charts. I know the ace of spades and another song (SOAD?) have bass and guitar on expert...If I remember correctly

Something else I noticed when browsing TXB for Rock Band 2 videos (http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/2050/Rock-Band-2/#movies): they have standard and HD videos for both of the ones you listed. However, you listed one in HD and one in SD. I think, for consistency (the only thing I love more than formatting), you should have both either SD or HD.

It wouldn't surprise me. Harmonix has gotten quite a few artists to re-record songs for Rock Band: Jimmy Buffet, Devo, Speck. I know there are others I'm forgetting, too.

You're more than welcome! That song stood out to me immediately with its hilarious lyrics and I was sold. Then I heard the re-record and was sold by its superior quality. (Yeah, I sell easily. So what?)

Also, you have quite the résumé going! I don't think jobs get any better than those at Harmonix, though, right? (And I know your job depends on you agreeing with me, but even if it didn't, I'm sure you still would.) Even though I don't know exactly how things happen behind the scenes, I can tell the company is phenomenal based on the increasing high-quality caliber of each game it releases. And I've been with you guys since FreQuency.

Well, the black ranges from 1-5 (for difficulty, like you said). The red shapes (not sure what they are exactly, not really circles) are pretty much a "6" difficulty. I.E.: Beware of Song

I am aware that the game disc is making the rounds today. For all concerned, I believe it to be appropriate to hold off on posting vids.

I have already seen RB2 prerelease threads devolve into accusations of thievery, piracy, and unscrupulous intent. We don't need such awesome times mucked up with a tinge of negativity, especially given the very large "gray area" by which certain people are obtaining their copies.

People that DO want to watch can find the various streams or youtube vids which are out there, independent of the official forum. It's not hard.

As Sean says in his rules post, making this game requires collaboration with dozens of partners (bands, retailers, etc), we should respect their rules to maintain that great working relationship.

Watched a stream of a dude doing the drums (expert) for about 4.5 hours, it was pretty epic. He doesn't seem to have recorded any of it unfortunately but he said something about making vids.

That and "Hello There" seems to lend itself more to the Battle of the Bands feature that RB is promoting as the biggest feature.

"Let There Be Rock" was (and is) still being used heavily to advertise the game, which is much more important to HMX. The opening intro doesn't matter as much since the person already bought the game, right? :p

But I hate Rush, Boston, Grateful Dead, The Who, The Cars, Pixies, Judas Priest, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Metallica and Weezer, so I won't buy any of those songs." That's why he fails.

Or I just have the ability to like pretty much everything. I have a very eclectic taste in music, so it takes a lot for me to dislike a song. Harmonix adds songs because they're fun to play. Usually I get lucky because they're also fun to listen to! If, in your book, I fail, then I wouldn't want to read the rest of your book.

Guys doing vids, please try to get a full band together, Vox does not need to be expert due to the fact expert only shrinks the bar (for those scared or suck at singing)

I can't tell, but it definitely sounds different. I thought it was maybe just that the guitar track is so loud during the verses, but it does sound like a different version altogether.

It's definitely a different vocal track, although it still features Dickey Betts on lead vocals. I can also hear Gregg Allman in there singing backup (or at least I think I can). It could be from the live album they put out with the Chuck Leavell line-up, something from the more recent live stuff when Dickey was still in the band, or it could be an alternate studio cut. Or something different altogether.

Either way, I'm curious! If anyone with the game wants to check what album Ramblin' Man is listed under it would be appreciated.
