That and the USB Hub has 4 slots so you don't have to use the other ones on the 360.

Yeah the Controller connects wireless (granted your using a wireless controller) and the Mic plugs into the USB Hub.

It does. The Rock Band mic is USB. Other than that, the diagram is fairly accurate.

The controller is wireless which is how you navigate for the singer (and I would recommend using it to create characters and such) and you plug the mic into the USB, NOT the controller. However you can use a XBL headset (or a turtle beach) and plug it into your controller and use it.

Fixed. And I realize that #USB devices < 3 means the USB hub is not necessary. It's more illustrative to show the setup in "full glory" and let people figure out if they need it or not. I was just trying to answer a question in another thread and a picture is worth a thousand noodles.

Eh, honestly I rather just clear up a free slot on my outlets. Unplug another console... a lamp or something... 360 has enough hit problems as it is, but if there are a few out there that want to add more heat to the 360. Then more power to them, this will definitely help them save an outlet for whatever they need it for. Good job man :p

You're not supposed to plug the 360 into a powerstrip, you know - it voids the warranty. It has something to do with the power brick regulating the amount of electricity that goes to the console and being in powerstrip messes that up. It's been attributed to many RRODs.

That's weird... I've had my 360 over a year now, Should I just plug it into the wall?

Do you have a source on that? I've never heard that before in my life.
Not to doubt you, but it sounds far-fetched to me.

nah it's real but I've had my launch one plugged into a power strip for it's entirue life and no RROD. Powerstrips aren't terrible beacause they do little to regulate voltage they just take the majority of the damage in a surge. However if you have the 360 hopoked up to a power conditioner or battery backup it can indeed cause problems. PS3 has the same policy. ANyways if you RROD just don't mention the power strip to MS.
