God. See, this game is HUGE!

My gamestop makes no sense. Here was my conversation with the manager:

Me - "Are you going to be having a midnight release for Rock Band?"

Him - "Sorry, we're not, but we will sell it the second the store opens"

Me - "The game is going to be huge, and you had a midnight release for Guitar Hero 3"

Him - "I know, the game is going to be so huge. But it isn't popular at all yet. It's going to be just like the first Guitar Hero. We'll sell it normally, but we won't see it on shelves for months, it's going to sell so fast"

Me - "It's already huge, You sold out of reserves the first week you took them. Why not just have a midnight release so it isnt so hellish in the morning?"

Him - "I dunno...alright, thanks for calling"

Me - "...Later"

God..I hate gamestop.

he sounds pretty legit to me. Why have a midnight release for selling maybe 10 copies of a game?

Also, midnight releases are sent down from corporate, normally a District Manager.

Even if you were talking with the Store Manager, there's little he/she can do to influence a midnight release.

My GameCrazy had a midnight release for GH3 with only a dozen reserves. I guess because it is so small.

There isn't a place in the store to hold all those bundles. I went in there Friday night to put some money down on some games and they only had one GH3 bundle on display because they have zero room for anything.

Here's hoping they have one for the even bigger Rock Band bundle!

Because I have Tuesdays off. And I'd rather have all of Monday night and very early Tuesday morning to play my instruments.

Plus, at my age (21) it's a little easier to go out at midnight than to wake up at 10 AM on a day where I don't have work to grab a bundle.

WOW! And people think us Canadians were being unreasonable...those extra 10 hours sure are gonna change your life!
