I know theres alot of threads title similarly, but this one is different. Since the release is so close I just wanted to share my thoughts. I remember when I first seen the drums on E3 in July and I immediately fell in love with anything Rock Band. I joined the forums about a week later which was august and I never thought I would love a community so much. We all share the same love for this game and I love visiting the boards everyday because of this. I've never in my life really waited this long for something. Normally I would find out about something close to its release and the wait was really nothing. Since I've been waiting since July and used to think of anything I could do to make the months go by, it's sort of odd knowing it's so close. I don't know what it is, but the wait is pretty much over and its bittersweet. The wait was really fun with you guys and I'm hoping we all stay on this board for as long as we can. I know this game will rock our worlds. Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you all online.

I agree, this wait was indeed fun, and we're so close to the release, i'm kinda sad that a lot of people will dissapear in a few days. I remember it being announced, being so excited, then playing it at Best Buy, and Wal-Mart, and seeing it on my XBL Dashboard saying "ROCK BAND 9 DAYS UNTIL RELEASE" it's kinda surreal that it's so close.

But I feel the same way. I was never part of a forum before here and everyone is awesome in their own way. I know I won't see alot of you guys online since a fair number of you own 360's, but outside of my bandmates I hope to see alot of familiar PS3 names online. This anticipation is really killing me. I keep forgetting Uncharted comes out the same day and that game is going to sit un-opened for a few days.

of the 2 weeks I've been here, I am going to miss this place after release. I'm mean alot of this will be empty. I'm most likely going to drop theese forums to play the game. But I have a strong feeling this site will have loads of newcomers around launch week with the new community site them looking for people to play with it won't be to empty maybe a little spamrific but not empty.

I was thinking on purchasing Assassin's Creed on Tuesday, for the sole purpose of passing the time till the 20th, but I think that would be dumb. I'll have to find a cheaper way to pass the time, though I doubt anything will really work.

I'm buying it. On Wednesday though. They won't sell it on Tuesday for some reason. I really want to play the game and it'll help pass the time. It's a win/win situation.

P.S. You could always rent Assassin's creed. That would be a cheaper route for you.

since i'm one of the few remaining original members of the forums it's amazing how fast it's gone by. It seems like yesterday I was looking at the first ever pictures of the peripherals from that magazing and being amazed that Won't Get Fooled Again was in the game. Needless to say i'm just as excited as ever that the game is finally about to come out and i've NEVER anticipated the release of a game for such a long time.

Why is it when the game comes out everyone is gonna leave the boards? Wouldn't everyone wanna chat about the game? And with the new community revamp, wouldn't that make you wanna stay? The way you put that sentence how the boards seen alot but its almost time, that made me so sad. I am so corny.

well, i'll still be around and stuff. but i'm gonna be playing the game A LOT (i expect a GH1 type addiction, where I played 3 hours plus a day).

I'm probably going to stay as well, since I have to complain about how I can't download the DLC but the US citizens can.
Besides, even when the game is released here and we finally get DLC, I still will be here talking about new DLC that should be released. ;)

I think that this site is gonna get much cooler on release day. With all the scores, stats, DLC info, and all the other stuff on the way, I may spend a bit less time here, but by no means leaving.

After playing GH for a while I wished for a game with "all" the instruments. The day is almost here. Much love to HMX for making this game and to all of you that have made waiting for the game a lot more interesting.

For one, we're not opening the game until Christmas, and secondly, I still want to be around to discuss new DLC, game strategies, all the subtle nuances that will be discovered by people and whatnot. And while I imagine we'll probably lose a few members to 72-hour playing session fatigue-induced fatalities, I'm thinking the majority of the long-term users will be sticking around. :)

Didnt they also say that when they do the new website they were going to have a suggestion thing for dlc like they did a couple months ago for the regular songs? I thought i heard them say that in one interview.

I can't imagine having this game for a month and not opening it. I don't have that kind of self control. Who wants to lay odds that Ultrace doesn't make it to Xmas without opening the RB box?

It's definitely been an exciting ride here, waiting out the RB release, and I hope to stick around here, chances are I will, considering as work is somewhat boring and I need something to do to keep my sanity, so...

Now let's just hope for some face-meltingly awesome pre-release last-minute updates. :D
