Question about Online PLay

Im sorry im being such a n00b right now about the online, and there has probably been posts about this alot (too lazy to search as i want a direct answer : i admit) but how does online play work, Band vs band? just co op, what are the modes for online play aswell?

you've got band vs. band ( i think?) there's band quickplay, where you grab a bunch of buddies and play a setlist of length you determine. Then head to head guitar,drums etc.

Yup, it's just one-on-one score duel, one-on-one tug of war, and band co-op play.

Harmonix has suggested they are working on online Band World Tour support as a patch, but nothing has been promised.
