We just got back in from a club tonight where we go to see Sweet perform! I FINALLY got to see the Ballroom Blitz done LIVE! Man, they put on a great show, and the venue was so small that we were able to hang out with them for a bit afterward!

They weren't selling any posters at the merch stand, so for a souvenir, we took the Sweet posters they had hanging over the hand dryers in the mens room and got them signed. Then my fiancée got kissed (twice) by the keyboardist.

My buddy Mike asked the bassist Steve to sign his poster like "I'm Ready!", which he apparently gets all the time, haha. It led to an awesome anecdote from the rest of the band (imagine this in an awesome British accent):

"Yeah, it loses its charm when you're yelling it in the morning, like, OI! Steve, are you ****ing ready yet?!"

One of the better shows I've been to lately, for sure :D

Ooh, we've got a clever one right here. Watch out for this guy.;)

But anyways, were you jelous (sp check) at all when your fiancée got kissed? l don't think I would have liked that very much.

speaking of this

I was playing online the other night and get linked up with a group and they played for a while and the drummer did well so I guess this had to be done on purpose but he failed out like 6 times in a row after restarting that song over and over
lol to listen them say all that stuff at the start of that song with nothing in the back ground had me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes

nothing personaly to the fans of this band but I have never been able to take that song serious

yeah I have to agree

OMG I hate you. Sweet were playing around my way earlier this year and I really wanted to go but couldn't find anyone else to go with me. I so wanted to see them live.

I don't think he even knew we were together, so I shook my fist and gave him a fake-mad "that's my fiancée, you horndog!". That's what probably prompted the second kiss though.

Haha, it didn't bug me in the least, though. You should have seen what some of the overly-drunk bar cougars were doing. Security was so lax, one chick walked right up on the stage in the middle of Big Willie and started licking the guitarist's face!

Great story! Are they at all aware of their performance for the game?

They sure did! I didn't even know that it was their song, until I picked up on the tune!

Thanks dude! As much as I wanted to ask them about Rock Band-related stuff (like what happened to the master track to Ballroom Blitz and Action), I don't think half of them were even aware of where they were that night. Seriously, Steve the bassist is getting on in years. He didn't even notice that he signed my poster twice.
