At first it would only happen if I took it over to a friends house and played for 3 or 4 hours, but it just happened on my TV after playing 2 songs.

I would be playing and the lead guitar track would just disappear and all you could hear is the rhythm or bass track, drums, and vocals.

It's really hard to hit notes when you can't hear what you are playing.

It's been happening more and more often now.

Anyone else having this problem on a 360 or PS3 version?

Check your audio connections. Otherwise, play with your audio options. If it keeps up, call tech support and yell at them about it.

It's done it on two TV's. My house connects through component cables and the other time it was A/V cables.

And it's not like all the sound goes away...it's just the lead guitar track. The guitar sound is up to 11.

I'll give it a few more days and if it keeps doing this all I can do is exchange it for another version.

If youre on a Wii, gh3 only outputs mono sound.

I have the PS3 version and have had the lead guitar go out at certain times at random. Usually it comes back a second or two later. I really think GH3 needed more development time. There are too many issues that shouldn't be in the game at all. Each port has its own separate issues too on top of the shared ones.
