Why do all GH fans sound like drunken fratboys now? That's a serious question. I can't really get a good argument out of them. They say Rock Band has no new features. Well for one the original Rock Band was pretty damn good so no need to change it. But the autocalibrating guitars, all the drum trainer features and the challenges/battle of the bands stuff is new.

The only reason GH seems so new is because it's ripping off Rock Band and then adding some crappy music creator.

The only reason people resort to petty name calling and criticism is because none of them are #1 credible and #2 none of them have a soapbox for them to use to get their opinion across like a well-followed blog or something.

Holy weird. I was just casually going about my business when I noticed that there was a sudden flurry of activity on my rock band vs. GH page on Squidoo (yep this is my page). Lo and behold, here was a thread all about it.
Just a couple of interesting facts about this page that I think are worth sharing (just because only by being the owner is one able to share this info).
- In the past 30 days, there were 703 people who found the site through the forums over at guitar hero. Rock Band has only sent 46.
- Despite most of the traffic coming from the Guitar Hero forums, Rock Band is still winning! (Although that lead has slowly been slipping)
- The thread on the Guitar Hero forums that sends all the traffic over generated just short of 2,000 posts. Most of them are petty arguments.
- Any thread about this poll and post on the Rock Band threads have been no more than a couple hundred responses.

My personal analysis: The fans in the Guitar Hero forums are split and scattered. Some are die hard fans, while some actually prefer Rock band. Their devotion is based solely on a lack of knowledge and blind devotion to the only Rhythm game they've played. They are the people who eat Hot Pockets, buy boy band CD's and would jump of cliffs if others were doing the same.
