I got the runaround from the lovely lady on the phone at EA that knew absultely nothing about Rock Band or any possible delays.

Have you heard anything yet? It's getting pretty damn close to release day....

I haven't read the whole thread relating to the possible delay, but my theory (and I think I've seen another few people post it) is that only people who pre-ordered before the delay are getting the game on release day and that Dec 20th is the date for the second shipment or something. I emailed EBGames today to change a detail on my shipping address and asked them about the possible shortages in the US and I got this email back... I know it wasn't about the possible Canada delay, but it might shed some light.


There has been conformation from the manufacturer of
the shortage for the Rock Band Bundle. As such, we have removed the
product from our website and have fulfilled all pre-orders. We do not
anticipate any issues with shipping out pre-orders, since the product is
no longer available for sale. You are one of the lucky few to be in line
for the Rock Band Bundle. If there are any changes to the release date
or with the product stock, we will notify all of our pre-order
customers.

So I'm not sure if that means for the US and Canada, but maybe all the stores in North America can fill their pre-orders, but won't actually have any for sale.
