Im leaving the same day rock band comes out and iim going to be taking it with me. I was just wondering if you have ever hooked up your gaming system to a hotels tv. I have stayed in one where they didnt and made me mad. I really want to play rock band when we get to our hotel! So if you know if they do or not let me know please.

No you can't. They typically don't have the s-video jacks. I wouldn't even bother bringing it with you.

To bad they don't have the classic cable connector for the 360 like they did the PS2/xbox/GC... or maybe they do, I highly doubt that though. Even if they did though, I wouldn't suggest you bring it.

I stayed in four different hotels last year at the time the Wii came out. I was able to connect it at 3 of the 4. However, it generally wasn't an intended use of the hotel TV. I had to move the entire wall unit in one hotel, and circumvent the normal video system in another. The last one actually had jacks on the front of the TV for just such a purpose.

Cross your fingers.

Good Luck.

Some do some dont. I can tell you that Crowne PLaza and Holiday Inns do. I had to spend 9 weeks at the crowne plaza for work back in april and I took guitar hero II with me. If the hotel you are at does have it it will be mono but hey you can play. Also the internet will be horrible. I had WIFI there, but the wifi in the hotel was to weak to handle live. so you may have the TV but no internet that is capable of getting you online.

If anything, you'll have the standard RCA jacks - Red and White audio, Yellow video.

Oh yeah man... I forgot all about those, my sister doesn't have the RWY hook ups in the back of her TV so she has to use that to go into the cable.

You could always call the hotel you're gonna stay in and ask them, you know...

That might save you a lot of anxiety from guessing and finding out when you get there.

Why not just call the hotel and ask? Its possible that some of the rooms have newer tvs and some don't and if you plan ahead you can get in one that does.

I used to travel for a living and would bring my Dreamcast along with me. Most tvs then did not have RCA jacks and I needed an RF adapter, frequently I would have to circumvent some security measure on the tv to prevent plugging the game system in. This is especially the case in hotels that have their own PPV movie setups.

Anyhow most hotels want to be accomodating and will hook you up if they can. Maybe inquire if they have a tv with the necessary connections for your video camera instead of telling them its for games, they might think you have a professional need for it and take you more seriously.
