According to some sites like Xbox360fanboy have told that World Tour Mode cannot be co-op compatible. Here's why, if one person quits it's not a band anymore.

Lies. You can swap in and out as many people as you want in your up to 4-person band, provided that one person remains the leader. Yes, you can have only one person as a permanent member in a band, you just can't play as that band until another person either subs in or joins.

As far as I know, you can have, at the least, 2 players to play in Band World Tour. You can play in the same band even though sometimes it'll have 2, or 3, or 4 players. You just need the leader of the band and 1 other member to play Band World Tour. Everybody can change their instruments except for the band leader.

Anyone have any sources that state otherwise? If so, please explain clearly...

Since each character is tied to one of the three instrument styles (mike, guitar, drum) then yes, you can't change. I suppose you could change from guitar/bass, in theory, since they're in the same instrument family.

From spraynwipe's blog: http://community.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/user/blogs/name_spraynwipe/

1: Can my Avatar play any instrument? Or when I create that Avatar, is it just a singer, or just a Drummer, and to do another instrument I must create another Avatar.

When you create a character, you create it as a drummer, guitarist or vocalist, much the same way as you?d create a class in an MMO. We also have a bunch of role-specific items that only specific roles can equip.

2: Let's assume I'm on an XBox 360. Are achievements/song unlocks/cash/etc attached to an Avatar, to a specific Band, or to my Gamer Profile when it comes to World Tour? How about quickplay?

Achievements are attached to your Gamer Profile.

Song Unlocks are attached to a character, but are available to everyone provided that Gamer Profile is signed in.

Cash and items are attached to each character.

3: Similiar to 2, is the Band "Leader" status attached to an Avatar, or to my Gamer Profile?

Band Leader status is attached to a specific character rather than a Gamer Profile

Great blog, is it possible to have more than one band leader ( as weird as that sounds)?

Nope, only one leader. Having two people think they lead the band just leads to awkward situations

Put it all together, and you get a band leader that's attached to a specific character, and each specific character is assigned one of three instruments: Drums, Guitar, Mic. The closest you can come to switching is bass/lead.
