idea for song making on RB

for VOX you type in the words using something similir to a cheat system on midnight club. ok so once you type the lyrics in now its time for the sound so someone sings the lyrics to the song and the game records, configures and produces the lyric "tabs" so to speak. ok time for drums, what a player does is go to the menu and selects "record song" *this should have been at the top* then he the player selects drums. the player can either make a new song or add onto a song that the player recorded the vox, guitar or bass to. then the player tells it to record and starts drumming away, same as VOX the game mixes the drum tabs with what ever was already recorded. ok for bass. bass is un-important. ok now for lead and rythm guitars *sigh*. This would probably be the hardest. Ok the player goes to that same menu but selects "lead guitar" or "rythm guitar", then the player tells the game to record and the player hits a button, *ok now it gets hard* then the player goes through a list of tabs and the player selects that tab, lets say 5 on E to be played when that button is hit....make sense?

I think its an awesome idea to make/record songs!But is it possible? lol

It does sound like an awesome idea, but I don't think it'd be totally useful to put in the game. Not too many people are going to be able to record their own music.. At least not if they hope for it to be any good. It might be good as a side project. Some sort of music maker for those with enough creative talent to pull it off. I just don't think it'd be used enough to spend the time to put it in the game.

I really think it can be possible and would be awesome for something like "battle of the bans" which i know there is going to be allot of that in this game. Anyways it would take a long time to make songs but it would be fxcking awesome!

If it ever becomes possible to make your own customs songs for RB i can't see it being an in game option. Making tabs etc would be a lot easier on a PC. The only trouble is getting it into the game. With GH we just burn new dvd's and modded ps2 or swap magic takes care of the rest.

Maybe if you send your completed song to a Rock Band server it will be made available online on the consoles where you can then download it. Similar to how you could put your own face on a tony hawks character a few years back.
