So, are we guna get the game on the 21st or what, many people say that amazon will take forever but i hope this isnt true...anyone know if it is? or why?

Ok, here's my story:

I preordered mine right before they put the new message up saying they won't be shipped until Dec. blah blah blah.

So, concerned, I called and asked if I "made it in" with the first shipment. She said I was all set and that I would receive it on the 21st ( I chose overnight shipping )

I asked her another question to confirm this...

Question: If I was another customer and placed an order right now while I am on the phone, when would they get their order shipped?

Answer: December at the earliest.

So, it sounds like I got in. So basically if you ordered BEFORE the note was changed to what it reads now on the Amazon.com page, you're all set.

But, to make sure, I'm calling again on Monday.


* On a side note, my gamestop that I preordered locally said that their quota has been filled and doubt they will be having a midnight release ( Wethersfield, CT ) And that as long as I prordered the bundle I am "guaranteed" my copy. Again, I will call Monday to confirm this.

p.s. I ordered 2 bundles so I can get an extra guitar since I prefer the RB over the GH. :)

Well, Amazon is very reliable and manages to get their stuff out ASAP, but they have a limited supply. It says on the site that due to limited supply, you may not get it until mid-December. You can, however, sign up for 1 day shipping for 15 extra bucks. Note that this doesn't mean it will take one day, it just means from the time they get it and ship it, it will be less than 24 hours. I did that, but there's still a possibility I won't get it until mid-December.

Ok, so i just called them, they said that i have a guaranteed product that will ship to me on Nov 20 and arrive Nov 21. When you order it it reserves a copy i guess. I will still pray nothing goes wrong. I ordered mine Sep 30th btw.

I've heard mixed stories about Amazon. Some people have said they got it on the release date, or a day after. Other say that Amazon is unreliable and sometimes it takes the full 3-5 business days of ground shipping for the game to arrive. I obviously hope that it is the former, but I'm not really sure. I'll be on Thanksgiving break anyways, so I probably wont have access to Rock Band until the Monday after its release anyways, but I've already come to terms with this.

I've never had problems with amazon. Thats the reason I preordered with them. That and because I'm a prime member, so I get overnight shipping for $4. I'm fully confident I'll receive my shipment on the 20th. At the latest 21st.

I pre-ordered on the 29th of september. I hope I'm covered. I also got the $3.99 one day shipping thanks to a free month of prime (which i canceled after the order was placed) (it was $80 a year!)(i only order 3-4 things from amazon a year)

I pre-ordered mine on Sep 25, here is the email I got from Amazon explaining why I wouldnt be getting my PRE-ORDER from months ago:

Perhaps they bumped up your order in the priority list to get yours out faster.

Amazon did something weird with the 'next day shipping preorders' -
Since the release date was the 20th, and next day shipping meant arrival on the 21st,
they shipped them earlier using 2-3 day shipping. Their excuse was:
'well, we are meeting the estimated arrival date' which -kinda- flies,
but is kinda bizarro.
