Most definitely! After Rock Band, this is the game I'm looking most forward to, especially after playing the amazing demo.

The demo knocked my socks off.

I set it to hard because honestly, most adventure games these days are really easy...and the AI kicked my balls through my throat.

Multiple times.

So yes, I am uber impressed with the game :D

Yeah, I've played it through multiple times. I'm on Hard now, but I started on Normal. I've actually been showing it to people when they come over to my apt., just saying, "Tell me this isn't the most beautiful game you've ever seen!"

>.> I'll admit to rolling around in the lake just to see him get wet and then drying off.

...or rolling around in the dirt to see him get dirty.

...it really is an amazing game

I've played it about 3 or 4 times on easy. I did die the first couple of times because I would go up to melee someone and I would be shot to death very quickly in slo-motion.

If I get tired of Assassin's Creed over the next couple days, I'll up it to hard. And get ready to pick up this game and Rock Band on the same day. It's a shame that this game is going to sit wrapped up for a day or two.

I'm buying this game and Rock Band at the same time.

Then eventually Assassin's Creed.

Thanks for the heads up. I had really high hopes for this game, and its nice to see it delivered. I am buying this game, no doubt about it.

Yep, this is one of those must buy titles. So the day I buy Rock band I'm getting this and Mass effect and doubt I play them for quite some time.

Based on the trend of todays reviews it'll get a 9 from Gamesradar,6.5 from Gamespot,4.5/5 from Gamepro and 7.75 from Gameinformer.

Thats what I'm afraid off. After Gamespot gave R&CF:ToD a 7.5, its not far fetched to believe Uncharted getting a 6.5.

Best review available to customers: The one they give after trying the game.

I liked this review, is enough to convince me, as if I needed any more convincing :p

But I agree with something the reviewer said, that yeah sure the game may not be perfect, but that should not be something to prevent you from giving this game a try. I mean, if you would just wait around for games that are perfect in every way, you would probably end up playing one or two games every couple of years if your lucky! So I say get this game and play for what it offers, and awsome story, amazing graphics and gameplay in the end you'll get what you paid for, to be entertained.;)

Yeah while this is not exactly the game to buy a PS3 for... it's nice to have a fantastic game on the PS3.

I'd figure I'd revive this semi-old thread instead of making a new one, but for this game all I've seen is a release date of the 20th.

However, my GameCrazy called me today and said they are releasing it on the 16th. I don't know if this is true for all places, but if you pre-ordered I'd check because they didn't call me to remind me that Assassin's Creed came out today, they seem to like to call at their own leisure.

Any game by Naughty Dog is a killer app in my mind.

Here's a link confirming the 19th as the release date. Link (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2007/11/12/uncharted-drakes-fortune-launch-date-november-19th/)

Breaking news! It's coming to the 360 :D :

"Naughty Dog's Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is one of the highest rated games in the history of PS3, but there's been no mention of it coming to Xbox 360 to date.

Until now.

But don't get your hopes up; it's still one heck of a long shot.

In a recent online interview on Eurogamer, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells talked about it being within the realm of possibility.

Obli: How hard would it be to port Uncharted to the Xbox 360? I'm not just talking storage constraints (Blu-ray). Could it be faithfully recreated without the use of Cell?

Evan Wells: I won't say that it would be impossible, but it would be very difficult and we most certainly would have to make enough concessions that it would start to feel like a different game. One thing that would be particularly difficult would be keeping the game load-free. The HDD really came in handy and allowed us to have pretty big open levels with lots of detail.

And there you have it. It's up to the reader to interpret how much potential there really is, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility. "

Sounds real likely. I think you threw the bold around the wrong part. Allow me to fix:

Yeah? Well I picked it up Friday morning on the 16th. So apparently they broke the street date as did alot of retailers. And it is an absolutely amazing game. I just finshed the 4th "chapter" where the demo left off. Street dates mean nothing anymore. :p

Just thought I'd add GameInformer's review.....

Score = 8.75

http://www.gameinformer.com/NR/exeres/1CE526D5-149E-4A05-BE34-96CBF209BE83.htm

I think most sources agree that this is not the most original game out there, but the story, graphics and gameplay make it a must try for PS3 owners. I will definetly get it, maybe a little later on, it's just that I have more games right now than I have time to play them and with RockBand this tuesday I truly have my hands full.:D
