We need more African musicians in Rock Band anyway, and I'm surprised there is no Prince at the least.

James Brown - I Feel Good, prince has many songs that would work. I think this is an unexposed genre in rock band.

Given RB's track record, these types of bands are more likely to show up in GH than in RB. Sad but true. Hello Jimi Hendrix, Lenny Kravitz and Michael Jackson...none of that in RB. (yet?)

I would love some Prince and I definitely think Purple Rain should be an album but I'd bet money that Prince doesn't even acknowledge requests for licensing of his music to games like these.

To play Parliament Funkadelic would give me untold amounts of joy.

Yes please for all of them. Hadn't thought of James Brown. The Payback would be sweet. Funkadelic/Parliament is a must. Sly would be cool too. I Want to Take You Higher!! How about some Curtis Mayfield too? Superfly, Pusherman, Freddie's Dead?

As for Hendrix, Kravitz and MJ... GH can have lenny kravitz. That man doesnt have an ounce of soul. I wish we could get some Hendrix in Rock Band. Michael Jackson is take it or leave it. I will probably play the hell out of Beat It when I get World Tour but theres not much more from his catalog that would work.

In summary, rock band needs soul and funk.

Yes, thses would be fanatsic additions, especially for bass players I would assume. The closest thing we have now is "Tell Me Baby," and that's more funk-rock, but it's fun as hell to play on bass.

While you're at it, throw some Fishbone in there with the Living Color, finish it out with Bad Brains and call it a 3 pack. Funk-Rock genre is underrepresented. There is more Red Hot Chili Peppers coming but they're pop in comparison.

Could also do a 3 pack with Prince, the Time, and Parliment. Those 3 would mesh very well in a 3 pack. Not that I don't believe Prince and Parliment Funkadelic couldn't both have full albums of DLC in my opinion, but those 3 would work together as a release also.
