I love the list so many awesome classics. What would you pick for current stuff though? There has to be some songs from recent albums

Why did it take you so long to get to Guns N' Roses

Nice list yourself a lot of good old ones but it does need some current additions, and I can't believe I forgot about Panama, my favorite Van Halen song.

RhoadsRR5
06-25-2007, 02:13 PM
Thx Guys. I am a huge fan of older stuff. Pantera, Megadeth, AC/DC, Ozzy, Etc. I will add some newer stuff on a little later starsandskulls. GNR I add Guns N' Roses so late because I forgot about them.. Thx again guys!

yes!! This is a good list....i was hoping for other people to put Walk because its one of the greatest metal songs ever and i have a picture in my head of how it would be played...especially the sliding in the solo. Good list!

Maybe they could do Stockholm Syndrome by Muse (or Hysteria) and Rogues (don't know if you know it) by Incubus. Nice Songs.

RhoadsRR5
06-28-2007, 03:19 PM
 Yah Sry, I am not really a fan of Muse but I shoulld have put some incubus on there. My bad.

not a fan of Pantera, but love everything else!

Anthracks
06-28-2007, 11:51 PM
Most of it is good but:

Van Halen - Eruption can't really be in Rock Band as it is just a solo... IDK. Seems more fitted for GH..

RhoadsRR5
07-05-2007, 03:39 AM
I Don't really know because I think that eruption would be cool because it hase 10 frets so you could do the tapping, good point though.

Those three songs REALLY SUCK. Get away from the The Number of the Beast album, son.

19. High Power By Boston Higher Power
20. Rock N Roll Band By Boston Sweet choice
21. Feelin' Satisfied by BostonJust as sweet
22. Smokin' By BostonHELL NO. The guitar is repetitive, there's no guitar solo. Maybe if you could play the organ solo, but I'd rather see We're Ready, Somthing About You, or I Think I Like It
27. Enter Sandman By Metallica Whatever. This just has the same five notes repeating until the solo. The bass (or rhythm?) doesn't even get a solo, just the same five notes repeating endlessly through out the song. whee fun. Battery or Trapped Under Ice would be better
40. Eruption By Van Halen this doesn't have vocals, bass, or drum. What the hell makes you think it would be a good song for ROCK BAND?
43. Runnin' With The Devil By Van Halen Good choice. Add Jamie's Cryin' too, plz
44. Imigrant Song By Led Zepplin Bad choice. There's no guitar solo, and the guitar that is there is insanely repetitive. See Over the Hills and Far Away or Gallows Pole for co-op heaven
45. The Ocean By Led Zepplin Yay. You almost redeemed your last choice.
46. Rainbow in the Dark By Dio Dio, yay. This is a good song, especially for vocals and guitar
49. Paradise City By Guns N' Roses Too repetitive in the first few minutes. Try Civil War, Garden of Eden, Nightrain or Locomotive
50. Welcome to the Jungle By Guns N' Roses Sure. Not their best, but it's a good song that people are familiar with.

This Is The Rock God List, What Do you Think?
I think you need to realize that just because you like a song, it doesn't automatically mean it would be fun to play.

So, uh... yeah.

Also, Flight of Icarus is better than the Iron Maiden songs you had.

Rage songs are so different I don't even like to classify them in to a specific genre. I'd go as far as to say they're not rock at all, but something totally different. Which I think, is an extraordinary compliment.

Also, it wouldn't be so hard to put new rock on our lists if it didn't suck so much ass.

BlackHole

There is only one song on there that is already announced. You talked about having songs from Guitar Hero on there(both one and two).

OK. Well yah i now think about eruption and you're right. I added some of those just because I wanted exactly 50. Some of them I don't even like. Imigrant Song, Paradise City, Smokin' etc. Most Of them I like though.

thats a really good list, but you should switch Eruption with Ice Cream Man or Hot For Teacher. Eruption is more of a guitar Hero song.

Didn't you learn your lesson on the OF?

Its great for 80s metal (although I'm not a big megadeth fan) but you itd be nice if you had some more obscure guitar Gods like Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme. He has the sound of all the great hairbands but with more balls (as long as you dont listen to one of Extreme's ballads you'll know what I'm talking about.) Then there'd Klaus Eichstadt from Ugly Kid Joe he played a mixture of thrash and hair and let out one last battle cry before hair metal died. Then there's Kim Thayill of Soundgarden he mastered the detuned guitar much better than Korn (no offense to Korn fans Soundgarden just has proven to be more guitar talented) John Petrucci of dream theateropened up a new style of prog metal in the 1980s and still plays that well live today (seen him at G307) I'm excluding guys like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai simply because they dont have enough to offer in the singing category but those guys qualify as 80s guitar Gods. Paul Gilbert of Racer X Kicked some serious ass when he was with them and is qualified to be on there but maybe its just cuz I prefer the guitar wizardry of Frank Zappa rather than the simplicity of Kurt Cobain that makes me feel that these shred and shred-ish guys deserve to be on there.

I will probably change Eruption with Unchained. That's one of my favorites. thx for the compliments. I Will Probably add on tonight so look for it.

I applaud your choice of For the Love of God I am a huge Steve Vai fan and I dont care about the people saying "There's no singing in that song" Steve Vai is a musical genius I saw G3 07 and Steve Vai wasnt there and it felt a little empty but I'm alright cuz I get to see him in October!!!!

RhoadsRR5
07-18-2007, 12:17 AM

YES! Holy Diver MUST be in the game! Also, at least one Queen song... I'm a gigantic Queen fan too, so I really hope eventually they have entire Queen albums for download. My picks would be: Queen II, Jazz, News of the World, A Day at the Races/Night at the Opera. It'd be awesome to play and sing the Prophet's Song! ...And March of the Black Queen.
