Who else would love to see some Stoner Doom Metal in Rock Band?
The Sword, sHEAVY, Withcraft, High on Fire, Electric Wizard, Saviours, Acid King, etc.

I would buy any of it in a heartbeat. Would love to see some Sleep and Bongzilla as well.

The problem is that, as much as I love the genre, it's hard to find songs that would work well within it. There's a lot of songs I love that would be a bit boring to play on Rock Band. Bands High on Fire would work well, since they are much less doomy and Sleep has some tracks that would be great (Dragonaut, anyone?).

They did manage to fit The Sword into GH2, though, which was surprising enough, so I'm sure we could get some in.

Lol ... Electric Wizard. I recorded those guys in my studio. The album "Come my fanatics", and before that, the demon lung single .... that takes me back!
I might even have the old master recordings around somewhere. :cool:

cool, i never tracked down the split with "demon lung" on it, but i believe i have everything else of theirs.

He he ... I have a copy here somewhere. 7" Vinyl. The other side was some other band ... didn't record that one though. That was the first track I recorded and engineered that made it into the shops. That was nearly 13 years ago. Damn ....i feel old now :(

Somehow Hellhammer never seems to get mentioned... don't they count as "stoner"? Doom is doom really, I think that's more what you meant, like Sabbath-influenced? Like Candlemass? (lol Bewitched...)

I never thought of qotsa as stoner doom metal, lol, maybe my reading comprehension is off today... no one else seems to be mentioning the kind of things that come to my mind.... Maybe just plain "stoner rock" for qotsa....

More Sabbath would be sweet too, especially if they're masters. But with the GH/RB battle to only use masters I don't see us getting any more Sabbath (as everything we've had so far has been covers). Which is really making me sad. :(

sHeavy would be the next best thing though. ;)
