I'm not convinced that isn't another demo version that got accidently sold. I think the only way to find out whehter it is a demo unit or a retail unit is to open it up.

Funny cause it really doesn't bother me that much...even though I'm dying to jam out...he's got it six days early. We'll prob be playing around the same time someone buys it.

Yeah I doubt it's a demo too. In order for it to be the demo, it would have had to come from Best Buy, since it's the 360 version. But I presume that the guy selling it just bought it recently, which means that the BB would have had to have it sitting around in the back not hooked up as a demo for a few weeks now and then all of a sudden decide to make the mistake of selling it. Seems unlikely.

Really? It took until 6 days pre-release for a copy to get out there? Most games get on the market much earlier with broken street dates. I'm just waiting to get it at Wal-Mart a little after 11:59pm next Monday. I can wait. It will be a painful Sunday night and Monday, but I can wait. :D

I don't know, this still doesn't feel quite right. It's probably one of the people that got one of the demo kits and decided to wait until just before launch to make a profit. Without seeing the actual contents of the box, I'd stay away from this auction.

Yeah, besides getting lucky and being able to sell one a week early, the best time is usually the day of launch when people are still going crazy for it. If you wait until the dust settles then it may turn out that there is no shortage in stores after all or that there are so many on eBay that there effectively is no shortage and you can't sell it above the retail price.

I sent the seller a question asking where they got it from, and the response I got was "I'll tell you if you win the auction." (I had posed the question as "what if I win it and need to return it somewhere?") They did say it was a major reputable retailer.

On the principle of the matter, I'm not going to give free advertising to folks who are acquiring this early and attempt to "flip" their copy. To get it early requires unscrupulous means and attempting to profiteer from it just makes it that much worse.

Especially through venues like Ebay. Having once worked for them, I can vouch that they are the most morally bankrupt souls on the internet.... worse than porn stars even.

But the guy probably just walked into the store, saw it, and bought it- the same thing about 99% of us would do if given the opportunity (minus the sell it on ebay part). I don't see any indication that it was purchased using unscrupulous means.

No doubt if I saw a bundle tomorrow, I'd be buying it in a heartbeat.

But this seller obviously knew it wasn't supposed to be there and took advantage of it for a quick flip. So maybe unscrupulous is a harsh word, but there's definately a shady element to it.

Eh honestly my opinion on the "making money off the -ignorant people-" as some would say. Is really just not my thing, I had the perfect chance on Nov. 17th last year to get me a nice PS3 from walmart and sell it on ebay, think I did? Nah, I find making someone pay 600$ more for what I paid is a bit of an ******* move. I did the cool thing and purchased a 360 so i'll have something to hold me over for when home/good games come out for the PS3. Had I know this game was coming on during that time I would of snagged one of those PS3s, but kept it for my self until this was released ;)

Ha I was offered $1500 for my ps3 @ launch and said no.. mostly cause I was stupid and wanted more.. but the moral to that storey was never look a gift horse in the mouth.. needless to say I opened it up and played resistance fall of man and enjoyed it.. then my ps3 was a fancy dvd player till they started making games for it half a year later... nuff said

Apples: I understand your actions by removing the link. I was not trying to advertise this, but let it be known to the RB community. There has been so much talk in the forums about what people would do if they got their hands on one and I felt when I saw this on Ebay, that it was worthy of commenting on.
