Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi as this is obviously my first post. I have been lurking on this forum since this page was created. I probably read it for an hour or so a day to make sure i dont miss anything:) I remember back when this inital page was just a street pole with tags saying band members wanted....this was way back before the forums were on here! I have been excied about this game since i first saw it was even a glimmer in their eyes. I have never posted because i guess i just dont have a lot to add, and i enjoy reading all the threads more so than i do typing a long post nobody want to read:p
Anyway the first part of this post was to introduce myself and the second was just to tell some people who care about my experience with rock band, i think my gf is tired of hearing me talk about posts and updates on game sites every day haha even though i will make sure she is apart of my band! I had my bundle pre-ordered about a month or so ago and its been torture waiting until next week but i was trying to not find any demos because i wanted to have the inital thrill for the first time on my own set. Well i went into walmart down where i go to school, Ames IA walmart that is for the thred of confirmed demo locations, and im walking back to find a case for my 360 and there sets a mint demo for rockband with nobody on it. This thing was in great condition allthough they didnt have any mic, the drums and guitar were flawless. I couldn't just walk by and not play so my friend and i decided to play 2 songs on both the drums and guitar and i have to say from my experience i am even more excited than i was and now this week is going to go even slower! I loved the guitar, it feels and looks great and i love the quiet strum. I must also say that i am going to find myself hooked on the drums...i started on easy since i have never played any drums and even that was an absolute blast. We played Danni California, Wanted Dead or Alive, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, and Detroit Rock City....it was the most fun ive ever had and i love the guitar hero games. The coolest part about the whole experice was the crowd of people that gathered behind us once we stareted and i was listening to their conversations. One guys girlfriend says to him, "Whats that is that guitar hero?" and he tellls her no thats rock band, its like guitar hero but with every instrument and it looks awsome. She was super excited, and everyone around us seemed to love what they saw.
All in all sorry for the long intro post but i had to share with someone, and so why not here. I cant wait until next tuesday when i offically wont have a life for a very very long time:) Thanks to all that read and respond to this!
