Guitar Hero has always given you the big hits. Even when Harmonix was running it, we got Sweet Child of Mine (epic song), Freebird (epic song), and Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight (EPIC EPIC EPIC SONG!!!).

But with RB, it's always the "deeper cuts". I personally don't like this, and I was wondering what you thought.

Okay, I'm done. Now flame me. You know you want to.

Just leave.

If you want to go to Guitar Hero, fine. It just proves the asshat GH fans are really unintelligent and want to troll while having a prissy fit the day that Harmonix gives a bad announcement...

I'm kind of getting tired of your trolling.

RB1 had a lot of hits. lol at thinking Highway Star, Run to the Hills, (Don't Fear) The Reaper, Tom Saywer, In Bloom, Creep, and so on aren't hits.

There have been deep cuts in Guitar Hero as well. They're about even.

The part about GH giving hits when HMX was running it plain isn't true. We'd usually get a band's 2nd biggest song. Bark at the Moon over Crazy Train. Sweet Child o' Mine instead of Welcome to the Jungle. Iron Man and War Pigs over Paranoid. Texas Flood over Pride and Joy. Cowboys from Hell over Cemetary Gates. Heart Shaped Box over Smells Like Teen Spirit. HMX even had interviews about the games stating that was their preference.

lucky for us, HMX puts both big hits and deep cuts in the game.
personally, i'd like to see more emphasis on deep cuts because they tend to have longer-lasting appeal to people who play the game more regularly than every few weekends at parties.

Paranoid was more famous than Iron Man or War Pigs?

I'm assuming your basing this off of DLC, rather than the on disc songs.(I think almost every main setlist band had their most popular song in Rock Band).

I personally like those "deeper cits" that you refer to. I do not personally care about radio hits. Most of the time the songs are not personally for me, the best songs from the band and are what most people clamor for. I rather listen to those deeper cuts because often times, more effort is put into them by the artist or band.(Also the deeper cuts tend to be more fun to play). :)

The Iron Man and War Pigs singles didn't even chart in the UK, while Paranoid reached 4th.

Iron Man is probably at lot more well known than War Pigs or Paranoid. Sweet Child o' Mine is way better than Welcome to the Jungle, don't care which is more known. Likewise for Texas Flood. And Heart Shaped Box is better than Smells Like An Overplayed Bad Song.

How the hell is this trolling? Your post is 100% troll, mine is a valid question about the songs in RB and GH. Just leave, I'm kind of getting tired of your trolling.

Highway Star is not as well known as Smoke on the Water. Run to the Hills isn't as well known as the Trooper (or a host of other Iron Maiden songs), (Don't Fear) The Reaper is not as well known as Cites On Flame With Rock and Roll, In Bloom is not as well known as Smells Like An Overplayed Song.

See the above post, that simply isn't true. No way in hell is Roxanne not as well known as Next to You.

So, you're using your opinion to override what sales and radio plays say are bigger hits? Terrific logic. And plus, the whole "I don't care which is more known" shows that the song is a "deeper cut" rather than a radio hit.

But would you say it's more popular TODAY?

Yes, yes I would. Look at this for some more evidence.

War Pigs was 8, Iron Man was 10. Paranoid was #1.

Don't give me that BS.

You've been trolling all day in the wrong forums that constantly keep getting locked, such as how "Harmonix only lets the mods pick the games' songs".

From Electronic Gaming Monthly, issue 208, October 2006.
RedOctane employee Marcus Henderson said "A lot of times when you go with the most obvious songs, the problem is it's so playd out that it's almost too familiar to people. When you pick a hit, but it's a lesser-known hit, it actually gets a better emotional response" about Guitar Hero II.

So no more crap about the biggest radio hits being in the early Guitar Heroes.

Oh, look who just got banned...

Come on, I don't like to fight around here. But I'm tired of all of the sudden trolling from this week of announcements.

Well, seems that the mods are doing their jobs. Thanks everyone :)
