I would like to see the band Sparks represented in Rock Band. 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us' would be great for a start.

i don't know how well they'd translate into the game, but i am big fan of the band.

Good to hear from another fan - I know so few Sparks fans.

I know that most Sparks songs wouldn't translate particularly well to Rock Band - but I feel that some would. I know that the all imporant keyboard sections would have to be left unplayed but the guitar, drums and especially vocals would make up for this. I think that the album 'Kimono My House' would yield songs which were fun to play - as well as some of the more recent Sparks albums.
I know that there is probably very little chance of any Sparks songs appearing but I still can't help but imagine what 'This Town...' could be like.

Dick Around would be great - don't care how popular it would be but I would download it.

Along with (Baby, Baby) Can I Invade Your Country.

Yes, "This Town..." would work awesomely for RB. We need to keep this poor little thread alive...

Excuse me, OP, but I must friend request you now, as any Sparks fan is a friend of mine

I've spent the past day or so downloading every Sparks album (minus the ones from the mid-80's, mind you) and they are simply excellent in every sense of the word and it infuriates and saddens me all at once that this band isn't super-famous like they should be. Their last few albums are easily among the best albums released this decade

Their latest album or most of their '70s albums would work quite well for the game. I would assume that it will be most entertaining on vocals. Nice band choice!

I'd like to see these in a 6-pack:
-This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us
-(No More) Mr. Nice Guys
-Something For The Girl With Everything
-Fill-Er-Up
-Lighten Up, Morrissey
-Do-Re-Mi

I e-mailed Sparks' official website

Have Sparks ever been approached or been interested in releasing some of
their songs on Rock Band? Cause I'd love the opportunity to play Sparks
songs on Rock Bsnd!

And I got this response:

No they haven't. but do contact Rock Band and suggest it as it would be
great!

For shame HMX. WE NEED SPARKS IN ROCK BAND

Perhaps with the prospect of a 'keyboard' peripharal that there may be a greater chance of Sparks being included in Rock Band. hint hint.

Y'know, I'm a big Faith No More fan, and I happened across this thread and figured, ok, lets check out the collaboration they did (This Town Ain't Big Enough...). My only previous exposure to them was "Cool Places", about 25 years ago. I have now spent the last couple hours poking around on YouTube listening to these guys. They are jaw-droppingly brilliant! And they've been doing this for longer than I've been alive! Where the hell have I been?

YES I LOVE SPARKS.

Most of the newer, more synthy/symphonic stuff (Such as The Rhythm Thief) wouldn't quite work, but they do have some guitar songs.

I'll take this six-pack, please:
This Town
Lighten Up, Morissey
Perfume
Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth
All You Ever Think About Is Sex
Something For The Girl With Everything

That covers the general style of most of their work, sans the 90's synthy stuff.

one of their songs from their new release The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman (Mr. Bergman, How Are You?) would be perfect for Rock Band

But I guess Green Day's immense talent is taking up all of HMX's attention

I'd buy some Sparks for sure, they would be an excellent addition to the game.
