Got it Early - Dont think its the Demo

My local Walmart had the whole package on the shelves (game, drums, mic, guitar). I didn't know about the warnings regarding the demo at the time, but I dont think this is a demo version. I read that none of the demos came with a kick pedal for the drums. My version has it.

Anyway, I'd be happy to answer any questions about the game. It's an expensive game, so if anyone is on the fence perhaps I can help out. I played it for 7 hours last night with 2 other dudes and the game was a ton of fun.

Here are some replies from another thread that I made on a diff. site

1) The cords are long. 12-15 feet I'd say.

2) I havent gotten terribly far in the game so I dont know about the final 12 unlockable songs

3) I posted pictures in my first post in this thread.

4) You can play offline with anywhere from 1 to 4 people. There is solo and multiplayer options.

5) I haven't seen any encores

6) I haven't seen any effects that I can purchase, but it comes out of the box with 5 effects (wah wah, flanger, echo, and 2 others I can't remember)

7) The quality of the guitar is great. Its heavy and thin. Feels like a real guitar. The neck is plastic-y looking, though. It's not as realistic looking as in some of the pictures I saw in all the previews, but from the other side of the room you can't tell its fake. The guitar feels awesome. The strum bar has a lip on it that really helps you nail the fast stuff. The solo buttons take a LOT of getting used to. I still can hardly use them even though I'm pretty decent at expert level.

8) I'll try to take a picture of the foot pedal later, but I have no reason to make this up that I have the game.

9) One note...most songs have parts in them that you can do your own drum solo for a few seconds. It's pretty damn cool. I think thats how you activate "Star Power" for the drummer.

10) The create a character was fairly weak. You have 3 choices for weight, maybe 5 for height and then hair (primary and secondary color) and skin tone. I didnt see anything for facial hair. Maybe you have to buy facial hair, I dunno. I did see that you can purchase "ink", I guess thats referring to tattoos.

The GameFAQs guys aren't nearly as friendly and mature as you guys. :) I gave up going to that board a long time ago. So, no doubt they're doubting doubters with doubts.

There's a good video showing the complete female create a character on rockband.com, shows all the hairstyles and various physical options... also one with some of the clothing. I used it to plan my own created characters, very handy.

I didnt play the demo at all but the drums do take a good beating. They are loud though. Thats my only complaint. You really have to pump the volume in order to drown out the noise of the drum pads.

as far as the world tour, its really good. Its much better than playing straight through the songs like GH.

You do end up playing the same songs over and over again. I admit that I'm not sure I totally "get" everything about the world tour yet. We're basically just going through and picking random setlists and playing whatever they choose for us.

You definately have the real version then. Create a Rocker wasnt in the demo.
