XBOX 360 downloaded songs not showing up in gameplay

I cannot get on xbox live here at our house due to our verizon internet being weird, so we go to a friend's house. We removed the hardrive and put it on his xbox to download the songs at his instructio. We got home to see they were not in the game. So we go to a different place and hook up straight to our xbox and try to redownload them. Get home, again they aren't showing up in the game but they are listed as downloaded in the harddrive, any idea of what is going on and how I can get them into the game? Thanks

the reason why they arent working is that u downloaded the songs on your friends console not your own. you will need to do a license transfer : http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/?WT.svl=nav

also note that you can do this ONCE A YEAR

if this happens again next time remember to bring your entire xbox 360 not just the hard drive
