I've been thinking the same thing. Even in the past week, traffic and posting are up considerably (with few exceptions, everyone is generally very well behaved and civil despite the massive influx)

I think it is going to be a differnent animal once we can stop asking "how this works" and start saying "how awesome this is".

Meh, my time on these boards will be taken up by the time spent in-game :) Except on days when I'm at work, that will always be "browse the RB forum time".

But I got a nice list of XBL friends from here, so we can talk about how awesome RB is, all while playing RB :)

The official GH boards did not have any level of moderation or oversight to keep people in line. I'll be in a cold dead casket before I let it get that bad. :D

Hopefully Rockband.com will be able to handle the increased load better than the GH site did. It took days and days to link accounts etc. This site is already pretty slow at peak times. I constantly get server errors when trying to visit the site on breaks at work during the day.

Yeah - the only reason I post even semi-frequently here is because this whole game is based around community, having bandmates, having fans, ect -- and this board actually makes that possible thanks to the amazingly mature people here.

I mean seriously - somewhere theres a "GH3 or RB" thread, and the responses are all "Well, Im biased, but Ill say RB, but the choice is really yours..." SERIOUSLY - THAT DOESNT HAPPEN ANYWHERE else on the Internet!

If these boards explode with crazyness next Tuesday I'll be fine as long as there's a semi-easy way to use the community pages to find what board members are in what bands. Then I can post to thier boards (or at least message them), and keep all this positive energy going.

Am I the only one hear too who has sunk so deep into this "fantasy rock" world where I'm also excited to be a FAN of some bands, and see thier scores and fans rise?

And how long before the best guitarist on the leaderboard, best drummer, best bassist and best vocalist meet up online to form the Rock Band SUPERGROUP!? That will be an awesome moment.

Ugh - while I'll miss these boards if chaos ensues, Im glad I'll remember enough usernames to look people up and keep tabs on thier bands.

The boards'll be dead on Tuesday because everyone will be playing the game! Wednesday will be day of reckoning however.

i know ill be on rockband from midnight monday till i can no longer keep my eyes open. this place will also be dead on tuesday like others said...i just hope we dont see a huge flux of "hate threads"

I'm pretty sure the boards will be dead on Tuesday from the server being overloaded and brought to its knees.

However, after that point, I have faith in Apples to keep things civil and fun around here, as they've always been. :) I like that about the Rock Band boards... there's a real sense of community, IE we're-all-in-this-together, rather than competition and ego-waving contests. Even when people disagree with my opinions on things like solo play, at least I know there's respect all around, and that we all will be enjoying Rock Band in our own way.

If we can keep that hippy love circle going even past next week, we'll be golden. :D

Yeah, I'd like to see at least a few more mods added before it gets too crazy. Apples does a good job but we can't expect him to keep an eye on things all day, and neglect his copy of RB.

Agreed. We'll be talking about the "Good ol' days" and such. I'll miss how quiet and civilized the boards are now, especially when I think of the rush of noobs that flood the GI forums every few months just for contests.
