Yes! This is awesome news for anyone who's been a fan of these films - Game Informer's December issue is gonna have the full details of a new "Ghostbusters" game that Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis & Bill Murray are all involved in.
Apparently it is going to be "Ghostbusters 3" - but it has nothing to do with the "Gears Of War" video mod that was floating around the net earlier this year. Can't Wait!

Finally! I can't wait.. I love the Ghostbusters movies..
With the name "Ghostbusters 3," is it hinting at a possible movie as well? I can only hope.. even though they're getting kind of old now. Haha.

I think the point of the name is to show this is the sequel to the movies. It's kind of a weird concept, because you'd think they'd make a movie and a game, to make more money, but maybe not.

I think a "Ghostbusters 3" with older characters would be amazing! Just think about the comic goldmine.

Harold Ramis has aged so terribly. He's easily double his weight from Ghostbusters II. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley FTW!), Rick Moranis.
Actually, you're right. This would be downright comedic gold.

A new movie AND a new game would be so great!
This has the Wii written all over it too. I'm excited to see how this will turn out.

I'm not sure they're even making a movie. I think the game might be all there is. There was a rumor based on an interview with Aykroyd that the GB movie was going to be CGI. But that was back in February'ish, and I'm not sure that movie is still a go. In any case, it'd be disappointing. I wanted another live-action TMNT, and got CGI instead. At least in that case I could understand it though. CGI + Ghosbusters = Failure.

Oh, I knew there weren't any plans for a movie, I just know if there were one I'd be first in line! :p

They got some screenshots of it!
It's not Xbox exclusive or anything, that's just what I was looking at. It's multi-platform.

It's NOT Ghostbusters 3, just Ghostbusters the game. But from the screenshots, they're all scenes taken from Ghostbusters 1. So I think it's safe that it will be based from that movie. And the character model they show is definitely Ray Stantz, and totally looks like Akroyd.
