Agreed. I thought 1200 points was a little pricey at first, but the game won me over. A simple, old-school brawler made outstanding by the expansive content, art style and humor.

Actually worth the 1200 points. Deer diarrhea propulsion is the new green.

Zero carbon emissions and funny as hell.

I was seriously about to post this exact same thread (title and all) an hour ago before I thought that it had already been posted. Looks like I would have been cool were I not distracted by other sites :p
Anyway, possibly the best game I've played in recent memory. A ton of fun and a great thing to do with friends (assuming you can get a stable connection going). I haven't played anything since I bought it on Friday (Haven't played much of anything until tonight).

Listening to the soundtrack now, I am absolutely loving this game. Worth every point.

Volcano Land
No Active Volcanos
My friends and I are stuck on the boss there.
Also riding the pooping deer is absolutley hysterical. My friend kept laughing so he crashed into half of the things.

Only your super-powered sandwich form can defeat the tiny volcano!

You mean the dragon/sock puppet? I recommend you bring some sandwiches along and use the jump-cyclone punch move to get a bunch of quick hits in on the dragon's head. Just try to avoid getting knocked back by the flames and it should work fine.

No, the dragon sock puppet guy
I don't need no steroid sandwiches :D
Ok, maybe I should try them for the next boss.
@Bearclaw, thanks I shall try this out tomorrow.

Fun game, but gets very repetitive after a few hours.

The only flaw is that its very short and the difficulty curve is somewhat lacking.

Well, it is a LIVE Arcade game. I can live with that.

Where's the...another piece of overrated rubbish that would've been pretty good 15-20 years ago and originated on the internet for free but cost way too much now...option? :p (the tounge means don't take it too seriously, you might hurt yourself)

You're thinking of a different game buddy
Alien Hominid
Anyway, I love the game, but they really need to hurry up and patch the damn thing for the freakin' Xbox Live glitches and bugs.

Downloaded the trial version and it's okay. I realize the full-featured version has more stuff, but I doubt I'd play it much without a friend. I've never been into side-scrollers.

I can't. It's the type of game I call "disposible." Meaning it has a very short life and then ends up in the garbage bin due to lack of replay value.

If anyone wants to play with me, I'm JChen42 on XBL. My highest character is the Gray Knight at level 14.

This is easily one of the greatest games I've ever played.
I've even put down my plastic instruments!

Try to think of it this way: If you can get 1 hour of entertainment for every dollar you spend, you've gotten your moneys worth. I don't think you will have any trouble devoting 15 hours to Castle Crashers (especially if you have friends who own it). It's an addicting game.

I call shenanigans, everybody knows the blue knight is the best ;)

It is the best arcade game. But it is not the best game ever in my opinion.
It has managed to keep me away from Rock Band for almost a week. :D
I beat it with the Blue Guy, and now I"m beating it with the Industrial Knight.
This game rules! (So does Rock Band)
^ I don't even want to try. Where is that damn chainsaw. :D

I disagree Apples. While most arcade games only last for so long and then get boring, Castle Crashers has a lot of replay value. It'll have even more replay value once they patch it up.

instantly reminded me of guardian heroes when I played the demo. for that reason alone I had to buy it. gotta say I am in no way disappointed, I just bea the traditional game, and I after I beat it with like two other characters I like I am gonna set in on insane.

I know right! I've only managed to get as far as the big furry boss at the end of the thieves forest level, the sheer number of minions it produces almost requires that you play with 4, good level players (or level up an insane amount). It's definitely a great challenge.

Not a bad game, but definately not the best game I've played recently. Braid, in my opinion is far superior.
As far as scrolling beat-em-ups is concerned, it's a pretty good 'new' game, but I'd still give a big fat wad of cash if they'd somehow put a new Guardian Heroes game on Xbox.
I'm still more of a fan of Streets of rage 2.
