PLEASE release a Wii version, so I can rock out. All I have is my poor Wii, and it's my only system I con online with. Also, PLEASE don't do some stupid Wiimote gimmick, like "lOL j00 strum wif teh numchuik!". All I want is the same peripherals as the other version. And maybe some new songs for having to wait. ;). But, please no gimmicks. I will honestly not buy RB if it uses a gimmick, as will many outraged HMX fanboys & girls. (Off-topic, I want to be employed at HMX when I am older. ;D)

PLEASE HMX, PIMP MY RIDE.

I mean, MAKE A WII VERSION.

You could always save up for a PS3... that way you could play Kingdom Hearts 3 when it comes out too *thumbs up*

..... assuming your name is kingdom hearts related.

Screw PS3, I think PS3 will fail, and KH will go to Wii. (Also, I made this name a long time ago, I don't use it anymore. If any mod/admin can change my name, please PM me.) Also, there is a 0% chance I can go Wi-Fi on a PS3. (Loooong story.)

Plus, nothing changes my love for Wii.

Dude , I Dont Want to Burst your Bubble or Anything but , considering the Wii Specs i dont think wii could handle Rockband , harmonix even said they did not make it because ps2 didnt have the power now that they had ps3 and 360 they could , but Wii ... Maybe guitar hero 3 but not rockband , Plus on Wii it wont be online , wont have downloadable content and the graphics will really be more like a ps1 games ... am just saying why buy a next gen game on a low quality console ...

Low quality? You are just under a fanboy impression.

Online works on the Wii, and it won't lag. It has enough space if you use an SD, or even without. Ever heard of the shop channel? If we can have full retro games, we can have some songs. Graphics are PS1? You are so jaded. The graphics could match some 360 games, and are better than the Gamecube (which had some really pretty games.), just look at some of it's games. Not only that, but who cares about graphics? Graphics don't make the game. Look at the 1st Super Mario. If you think graphics sell a console, you a either a fanboy or a 10 year old. Also, Alex said absolutely to a Wii version, it just isn't announced. Even a DS version was commented upon.

Don't talk without facts straight, your sources correct, and if you are sure you are right, or you might get 0wned.

Wii just does not seem to have the processing power to run RockBand , i know you can download games , i know you can surf the net and do other online things , but as of yet the Wii has not gone online in a game , plus the Wii's Memory is very low 512mb , even if you do use a Memory stick it wont do that much unless you go spending 200 dollars on an 8gb or one thats more , sometimes graphics do not make the game as you said Mario did sell alot in fact i enjoyed it and it is still the most popular game ever , but that was because back then the developers didnt have the Technology but now we do and trust me graphics are important not as much as you think but seriously would you play any game with n64 graphics these days ? i bet you would not . yeah i sound like a fanboy but its because am making a point Wii Does not match up to 360 or Ps3 and because of that a Rockband Version for it is unlikely To come out , by the way how the F*** would you play rockband on the DS ?

Wii has put a game online. You seem to forget Mario Strikers. It's out in Europe, and has had NO lag problems whatsoever. Songs don't take up much, maybe as much as a Super Nintendo game, or less. And If I'm correct, Wii has 52 slots open for SNES games. Plus more on SD cards (I have a 2 gig). Processing power isn't crap, Wii can run it. Wii has a lot of power it doesn't use. Plus, I would play an N64 game or so. I currently play Super Mario 64, Ocarina, Game Boy games, and a few more oldies on my Wii. And I do play them regularly. As for RB, I dunno. I might have made a mistake and GH said it, but I dunno.

"We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform," Rigopulos said. He added that Harmonix would optimize future versions of Rock Band to fit the strengths of the platform. "I think the Wiimote is something that holds enormous promise."

That Wiimote comment is what scares me.

I know about it. I quoted it and even mentioned it.

The Wii should be able to handle rock band fine. It is worrying how they find the wiimote something that holds "enormous promise" because replacing instruments with it would be the worst thing ever.

I'm no expert with the Wii so I don't know its internet capabilities but it does seem to be behind the ps3 and 360.

mm, i think they will bring it out on the wii, and i hope they do, to save me from having to shell out on another console, but itll probably some time after it comes out on the XBOX 360 and the PS3, so itll just require some patience.

Finally someone shares my dilemma.

In a way, the late release is good. It could get more songs than the others, and we have time to beat GHIII before RB comes out. The only bad thing is the Wiimote gimmick might happen. I really wanna drum on a regular PS3/360 drum set, and I want to strum and fret on a real guitar.

I wouldn't be getting it for the wii personally, but I could see it being a pretty money idea. Imagine: the biggest casual gaming platform meets the simple-to-pick-up game that has a near universal appeal (outside of rock-phobics, finding someone who has never idley dreamt of being a singer/guitarist/drummer in a band at some stage has got to be pretty hard)

That's a match in heaven!

I think they'd have to get around the online componant first though. AFAIK, Nintendo still has that friend code rubbish going, which could really make it annoying to quickly jump into a game.

You can do an anonymous game. :P

Die pls. I'm serious. If you are stopping my only chance to get online RB, expect hell. :/
