View Full Version : PS3 is #1 in Japan

A week or so after PS3 was outsold by the 360 in Japan, it's looking like the PS3 will be the top selling console for November, even beating out the Wii. IGN has a post about it, but it doesn't really say anything more than I said here.

This isn't "great" news for Sony that the 360 is giving them more competition then they had predicted. The Ps3 isn't dominating the Japanese market like it did last gen.

The Wii is giving them competition for sure, but the PS3 has outsold the 360 by like 7:1 or something crazy.

The PS3 had outsold the XBox 360 as of December 12th, 2006. The PS3 had been out for 1 month, and the XBox 360 had been out for 13 months. That sounds pretty dominating to me. Granted, Nintendo had both of htem doubled up at that time.

Not compared to the original Xbox and the Ps2...

You can come back from 7:1 you cant come back from 500:1.

Let's not forget the 360 had a head start, like the PS2 did. The news here isn't even Xbox related...it's simply that the PS3 beat the Wii. I think they're more concerned about this unexpected Wii competition, and don't even bother thinking of the 360.
