Who knows, maybe they'll have some more DLC news before launch, maybe not. At this point, I almost don't care as long as I get the news some way or another!

I think we can all hope for a online BWT patch, imo.

That would be simply amazing, or an offline one where you can do just 1-4 players instead of the 2-4. Either way man, I would love to be able to do BWT without having to count on people being at my house every second.

I just don't see how they're gonna be able to "patch" in online BWT. Just so many issues to take into consideration.
Single player BWT, however, I think would be pretty easy to incorporate.

Not quite. Gamespy and IGN are part of the same network however, as well as Team Xbox who was also in the competition.

You've gotta wonder when their exclusive announcement will be. There was never really a set time for it. One assumes that it would be the next batch of DLC content. What else is there now?

It could be announcements of full-album DLC. I find the lack of even confirmed albums to be kinda suspicious.

I think HMX has the top three bands releasing info. I mean look gamespot came in 3rd, they released new info first. 1up placed second, if I'm right there going to do an update tomorrow. Then leaves the awaited info from the winner, Gamespy. I mean it makes sense..
Some said Gamespot may have stolen Gamspy's thunder since they work together. No, IGN and Gamespy work together. GameFAQs and Gamespot work together.

Dan's previously said in at least one, if not two interviews that later adding in online BWT support is something they're still looking into and would like to do if feasible. Wouldn't be looking into it if it wasn't technically possible and if a senior designer thinks it's possible, I for one am going to trust his judgement on that.

So wait, I don't know how I missed this, or maybe I just forgot, because it's starting to sound familiar. But BWT doesn't support online? I could have sworn I read that I can play through the game with a friend over Live. I'm in trouble if that's the case. I will have to resort to singing and playing at the same time. My brother doesn't live here anymore. I live in the country so I usually drive 30 minutes or so when I go hang out with my friends. None of my friends usually bother coming out to my house and the only one that is in love with Guitar Hero and Rock Band doesn't have a car. I always have to drive half an hour to get her, then drive half an hour back here, then do it all over again when I take her home. I will probably have to do that. She is awesome at Guitar Hero, as in she can 5* everything on Expert. I guess she will take over guitar duty and I will play the drums. I already plan on going through the solo games, but I was really hoping to play BWT mode over Live. I'll just have to make some new friends lol.

Yeah you're screwed man, as am I. I can maybe get in 3-4 hours in BWT a week. There is no online right now, there might be a patch for online BWT and there might not.
No way I can sing and play guitar or drums, I can barely walk and chew bubble gum at the same time :p

It's called buttering you up, he's also the same dude that said Guitar Hero 2 for the XBOX 360 would get online play in a patch, I bet.
There's just too many variables to add it in a patch, so get over it.

I'm not sure BWT online is feasible. I mean say you're 5 hours into your endless setlist and you lose you internet connection? My TV would be out the window in true rock fashion!

Since you obviously work for harmonix and know the ins and outs of the game, can you tell us about a single player deal with BWT ? Not that sing and play drums crap, 1 player, 1 instrument, not that it matters big time or anything, but it's something to look forward to, you know ?

I'd imagine a offline BWT (with just 1 player) would be A LOT easier than an online patch, I really wish they would patch that first. You have no idea how many people that'd make happy.

Yeah, I'd take that too, 1 player, online, I'd like them both at some point but you know, I'll take single player.
Long as I don't have to sing and play the drums, it just wouldn't be good.

Yeah, it kind of makes me wonder why HMX didn't make the BWT 1-4 in the first place. I mean come on man, not EVERYONE has friends that play guitar hero. Hell I can barely get any of my friends to play and when they do they play it on medium and try really really hard to concentrate so the whole "rock" feeling is ruined by their seriousness =\. I'm not worried though, I have complete faith in HMX that they'll do something to fix this, either BWT 1-4 offline or BWT online. I'm pretty sure many would agree with me there, just as long as they didn't have to sing + play an instrument (Although I want to give that a shot just for fun.)

I, too, would love a solo BWT. But by adding that, HMX would eliminate the need for every other solo mode. I'm not sure if they'd do that.
I also agree that it would have made more sense to just have a 1-4 BWT mode and call that "career." But HMX's diabolical plans basically force the player to socialize, which I find to be a pretty interesting angle.
