My roommate and I all have (for one reason or another) separate Xbox profiles, each with it's own XBL subscription.

I'm curious, if I download a song pack onto the hard drive, is it ONLY accessible via my profile? This would be a pretty big dealbreaker for us, as we tend to have a thing about being online on each others accounts, but don't want to spend 2-3x the cash for songs.

There's already a thread for this at http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=7634

We don't know, but I posted a link that might give us a hint to an answer.

I may be able to shed some light on this. My wife and I both have our own Gamertags, and we have plenty of DLC (mostly arcade games). All users that are tied to that xbox can use any of the DLC on it. However, a problem arises if for any reason your xbox gets replaced (RRoD anyone?). When this happened to us, we quickly realized that my wife no longer had access to the full version of any of our games, only the trial versions. After some calls to MS tech support, it appears that when you download DLC, XBox Live registers 2 things; the console it's being downloaded to, and the Gamertag that downloaded it. When I tried to play any games, Live recognized that I had downloaded them and allowed me to play them, however, with my wife, Live doesn't recognize that she bought them (because she didn't, I did), but also that she's trying to play it on a console that hasn't technically downloaded them, so boom...instant trial version. They ran us through some things to try, none of which worked, and we haven't bothered calling back to go through more options. As of right now, as long as my gamertag is logged in, it will allow her to play the games under her tag. Essentially, if I'm not there she has to log us both in in order to play.

From what I can tell, as long as the DLC is on the hard drive or whatever device you are using to save it on. Anyone that uses that Xbox can use the DLC. I don't think your specific gamertag has to be used for them to be loaded into the game.
