Not sure if it's the game or my PS3

All I play on my PS3 is Rock Band. Lately the game has been completely freezing up on me a lot, and I have to hard reboot my machine. Sometimes it has trouble booting back up into the game. It seems as though after I let it sit for a while it plays better, but then it starts freezing again. This leads me to believe it might be some kind of overheating issue? Any thoughts?

Make sure all of your vents are clear of dust, debris and obstructions. If it's hot where you live and you don't have a/c, you might want to make sure your PS3 isn't in any kind of enclosed space like a cabinet.

So then you agree it is an overheating issue?

It sounds like one, but you won't know for sure unless it stops doing it after trying those recommendations.
