This setlist is basically a ton of bands/artists/albums that you'd find at the moment on an alt rock radio station, or on FUSE/MTV2. Most of the songs on the list have at least two of either good drums, vocals or guitar...no real comment on the bass. Chances are that you'll think that the songs are crappy just based on the bands that play them, and normally I would too, however some of these songs can be considered gems from the POS albums.
Also -just re-edited- the videos/live versions of these songs.
"Just Stop" - Disturbed, Album: "Ten THousand Fists"
http://music.aol.com/video/just-stop-live/disturbed/1453287
"Welcome Home"- Coheed and Cambria, Album: "Im not gonna bother with the whole name"
http://music.aol.com/video/welcome-home/coheed-and-cambria/1373328
"No Reason"- Sum 41, Album: "Chuck"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwvEjeWX-9s
"Fully Alive"- Flyleaf, Album: "Flyleaf"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWVX9Yi4M5E
"The Arms of Sorrow"- Killswitch Engage, Album: "As Daylight Dies"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiLkwzZim5Q
"Icky Thump"- The White Stripes, Album: "Icky Thump"
http://music.aol.com/video/icky-thump/the-white-stripes/1911899
-Great guitar, drums and vocals BUT no bass considering the band consists of 2 members...in general the song sounds like it was made for Guitar Hero.
"Dance with the Devil"- Breaking Benjamin, Album: Phobia
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwPAIFIU3SA&mode=related&search=
- Guitar, Drums, vocals etc...song isnt exactly mainstream yet, but it was put on their iTunes essentials list, so maybe they'll do something with it.
"Well Enough Alone"- Chevelle, Album: "Vena Sera"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwYIztlxm5M
"My World"- Sick Puppies, Album: "Dressed Up as Life"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQBRDY6w95k
"Miss Murder"- A.F.I., Album: "Decemberunderground"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3wH6y6-768
"The Kill"- 30 Seconds to Mars, Album: "A Beautiful Lie"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF1wZQzpeKA
"The Take Over, The Break's Over"- Fall Out Boy, Album: "Infinity on High" http://music.islanddefjam.com/www2/av_player/AVPlayer.php?av_asset_id=11591&cms_site_id=0&av_type_id=2
-yeah, I said it...Fall Out Boy. This is set to be their new single and quite frankly it has a great guitar intro, drums throughout, and tolerable lyrics...also it appeals to the mainstream audience, which they might want.
"No More Sorrow"- Linkin Park, Album: "Minutes to Midnight"
http://music.aol.com/video/no-more-sorrow-live/linkin-park/1905653
-the savior song of the "so soft it hurts" Linkin Park album known as "Minutes to Midnight" and anyone who has seen the 'making of' special on FUSE knows that this song is amazing.
"Spidersong"- Say Anything, Album: "Is A Real Boy..."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKwTWiONB6M&mode=related&search=
pretty crappy video footage and sound quality....but the actual song sounds good
"Oh Yeah"- The Subways, Album: "Young for Eternity"
http://music.aol.com/video/oh-yeah/the-subwayscharlotte-cooperbilly/1596187
"Dani California"- Red Hot Chili Peppers, Album "Stadium Arcadium"
http://music.aol.com/video/red-hot-chili-peppers-dani-california/the-red-hot-chili-peppers/1525691
"Metalingus"- Alter Bridge, Album: "One Day Remains"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9j7aOpyXrE&mode=related&search=
-otherwise known as Edge's Theme from the WWE, from a band that's otherwise known as "The remains of Creed"
"When Your Heart Stops Beating"- +44, Album: "When Your Heart Stops Beating"
http://music.aol.com/video/when-your-heart-stops-beating/44/1733440
- where would a mainstream list be without Travis Barker
"Famous Last Words"- My Chemical Romance, Album: "The Black Parade"
http://music.aol.com/video/famous-last-words/my-chemical-romance/1812107
"The Enemy"- Godsmack, Album: "IV"
A list of mainstream (depends on definition of mainstream...I consider these mostly 'not indie or metal' and things I'd actually hear listening to Chicago's Q101 for anyone who lives in that area.) bands from different styles, ranges, etc. and something tells me that just the names "Fall Out Boy" "Linkin Park" and "My Chemical Romance" make some people want to puke, but the songs from those albums were worth mentioning.
-not saying that the whole game should be mainstream, just saying that some should.

I REALLY like this setlist. We don't need Metallica. We don't need K0rn. We need songs that are capable of being played on all instruments (including singing) and semi-mainstream

I also love this setlist! I saw someone put Eruption in a setlist for Rock Band, that kinda **** is what people are thinking of for this game. Don't get me wrong Eruption is a sick solo but Rock Band has everything and we need songs like these that include everyone. Good job! Especially with Flyleaf, great pick!

haha...I'd love to see a chick sing "So Sick" by FlyLeaf. That song scares me to death.

Heres a few that should prolly also make it on, although they arent exactly current songs, but are still equally semi-mainstream/good
"The Leaving Song Part 2"-A.F.I., Album: "Sing the Sorrow"
"Walk This Way"- Aerosmith, not sure about original album, I got it on greatest hits
"Adam's Song"- Blink 182, Album: "Enema of the State"
"So Cold"- Breaking Benjamin, Album: "We Are Not Alone"
"Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)"- Chevelle, Album: "This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)"
"Time and Time Again"- Chronic Future, Album: "Lines in My Face"
"Colors"- Crossfade, Album: "Crossfade"
"The Fallen"- Franz Ferdinand, Album: "You Could Have it So Much Better"
"Hermorrhage"- Fuel
"Running Away"- Hoobastank, Album: "Hoobastank"
"Cold Hard *****"- JET, Album: "Get Born"
"Just Tonight"- Jimmy Eat World, Album: "Futures"
"Mr. Brightside"- The Killers, Album: "Hot Fuss"
"St. Anger"- Metallica, Album: "St. Anger"
-might not be the best Metallica song, but would still be fun as hell to play
"Float On"- Modest Mouse, Album: "Good News for People who Love Bad News"
"Lithium"- Nirvana
AT LEAST ONE from the many Offspring albums.
"The Kids Aren't Alright"- The Offspring, Album: "Americana"

DUH! Eruption Rocks! It has drums... at least. And guitar. It would be the song where the singer could just kick back.

Eruption belongs in GH! Or maybe along with the many downloadable songs!

Props on picking "Fully Alive". That song has a great guitar and bass line, as well as a decent solo. Good vocals and drum track as well. It's really ideal for this game and I'd love to see it in there.
A few other bands I'll toss out while we're talking "mainstream":
Seether - "Let Me Go" or "Because of Me" would rock
Shinedown - Almost anything off of "Us and Them" would work fine, but I'd go with "Yer Majesty"
While not really "mainstream" the next two bands are similiar in the type of music you're suggesting:
Nonpoint - "Alive and Kicking" would be badass
Onesidezero - Anything off their new self titled cd, which is killer.

Yeah, mad props on "Fully Alive."
The list isn't balanced for mainstream vs metal vs indie vs classic rock vs etc. though, but there are some decent picks on there for the mainstream parts that MUST be there.

I agree with the first two bands ...but Id go more with "Remedy" from Seether, and maybe "45" from Shinedown
and I remember hearing Alive and Kicking from the SvR2007 soundtrack...good choice also, maybe even "Bullet With a Name"

As much as I like "Remedy" and "45" I think "Let Me Go" and "Yer Majesty" have much better guitar parts. "Remedy" especially is very simple and doesn't have much of a solo. The vocal track for "45" would definitely make it a good choice though.
"Bullet With A Name" would be badass, but I think the vocals would be the problem there, given that they're really raspy and more of a rap than anything. Could work though. It would definitely be tough since the verses are pretty quick. I just picked "Alive and Kicking" since it's got that great bass riff in the verses and its more melodic vocally.
Definitely give "Onesidezero" a listen if you are unfamiliar with them. Pretty much any song off their new self titled album would work fantastically with Rock Band. My suggestions would be "My Confession" and "Sleep".
