Yeah we can't name a kitten without seeing pictures of it.
When I've gotten kittens, I give them about 2 or 3 days and their personality usually provides a name :)

Yeah it'll take him a day or two, and then he'll name himself, you'll see :)
For example, we got a new kitten in May, he was around 6 weeks old. 1/4 Serval, so he's an "F2 Savannah cat". He named himself the 2nd day we had him.
He was in the living room playing with our adult male cat, Cheetoh, and one time when Cheetoh ran at him, the kitten jumped straight up into the air at least 3 feet. So we named him Pogo. :) He has totally lived up to his name too, long ass legs (which you can see in the 4th pic below) and this boy can JUMP!
Here's a few pics of him with his big brother a few days after we got him:

On a related note, my own cat Castor is clearly letting his status as Rock Band avatar kitty go to his head. Earlier, my wife and I were playing RB, and she was singing Silver. In walked Castor, who looked at us and, when my wife sang the drawn out 'tomorrow' part of the lyrics, mewed along at almost the exact same pitch. Since he also likes to sit behnd my drum kit, I think we have a feline Phil Collins in our house.

Paradoxical thought experiment of quantum physics. From Cornell:
A cat is placed in a box, together with a radioactive atom. If the atom decays, and the Geiger counter detects an alpha particle, the hammer hits a flask of prussic acid (HCN), killing the cat. The paradox lies in the clever coupling of quantum and classical domains. Before the observer opens the box, the cat's fate is tied to the wave function of the atom, which is itself in a superposition of decayed and undecayed states. Thus, said Schrödinger, the cat must itself be in a superposition of dead and alive states before the observer opens the box, "observes'' the cat, and "collapses'' its wave function.

Schrödinger. That way, if you can't find him around the house, you can chalk it up to the quirks of quantum entanglement. Also, it'll be damn funny to any physicists in your family.
YES!
Here's Schrödinger's cat in layman's terms. The cat is both dead and alive in the box, at the same time, yet we can only observe one state. The general principle is that an "observer" can only observe one state is then questioned, because would not the "cat" be an observer as well, or does it's existence in any single state require a second external observer?
It ultimately boils down to something similar to "if a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
It also ties in with the general principle that measuring something effects the outcome (ie, Heisenberg's uncertainty principle).
It also raises the psychological question, that, if one were to open the box would they be running the risk of killing the cat?
Bottom line, Schrödinger is the ultimate name for a cat.
