How can you say **** mainstream when you have CCR, The Animals, and The Who on your list? Great choices in the beginning maybe Green River by CCR might be better but nobody wants to scream incoherences into their microphones for bands like Cannibal Corpse and the entire bottom of the list. Listen I've given a good listening to most of that list even the bottom half and although I respect your choices I just don't think the majority of people are going to want to sing those songs, and that's what is important when selling a game to the masses. What most people want.

Let's not forget downloadable content. Those songs will be a little more refined to certain genres allowing people who want metal to get metal, or any other genre they plan to release.

I think House of the Rising Sun is a great choice, wouldn't call it mainstream in this day and age. The Who are great too :)

south texas deathride - union underground
It's been a little while since I've listened to this, but from what I remember, it was very industrial rock and wasn't much instrumentally. Also, there's the cursing problem. Honestly, I wouldn't want to sing it (or hear it) if I'm not yelling "South Texas Deathride Mother ****!". Good song though. Most people I know have never heard it.

Lol, I just thought of some kid sitting there in his room trying to sing Cannibal Corpse and Cradle of Filth without his mom hearing.
