I'm only guessing they do bans by IP addresses.. and your IP was probably very similar to someone else's IP that they banned... That is to say, you really didn't do something bad on their forums.

ScoreHero mods are stuck up so i wouldn't be surprised if you got banned for no reason...

I don't even know why they have an appeal system, no one checks the appeals. It even says "At the moment, none of the staff have time to handle the appeals, so it may be a long time until you receive a response."

maybe you should try asking the mods on SCOREHERO? That could help..

There is this great thing about being banned there. You can't do anything. Not even talk to the mods or admins. If you try to talk to them outside of the website, they block you. All you can do is make an appeal, which I think they only put in place so people would stop calling them stuck up and unfair.

They don't ban for no reason, but they do ban for very little reason. "Hey, that guy posted a fake score." Instead of asking him if he has proof or if he made a mistake, they just ban that person because someone claimed it had to be fake.

Weird. If every one is on the "honor system" you're bound to have fakers. But since you can't prove it, unless someone posts a score that is actually impossible to get, that's pretty lame to just ban someone like that.

That's kind of strange. I was half expecting to get banned when I came out of the blue back in June and posted about 5 top 20 scores on guitar. But hey, if you wanted to confirm them, the XBox leaderboards would suffice. I totally need to redo those scores anyway, Moving in Stereo has fallen down to 36 :eek:

if you submit a score that is in the top 10 without any proof you're gonna be banned
if you venture into the software forum without reading the stickies you'll be banned
if your forum etiquette is sub-par you'll be banned

The problem with all of those is that they don't try and help the person. What if someone posts a #9 score without knowing you have to provide proof? They don't tell the person they need proof or ask for a picture, they just ban them. Not reading the stickies shouldn't get you banned, it's just lazy moderation. A long time ago, your thread would get "Read the stickies" and then it would get locked. Then the person would read the stickies and have their question answered. Now, those people are banned on the spot.

I've been banned from ScoreHero 4 times. No joke. Whenever I say anything, ANYTHING on the forums, and I don't say stupid things, things like "good job", or whatever, I'm banned. Who knows, maybe they find out my IP address again and again, though I use static addressing. Just stay on these forums, you'll be much happier, lol.
