They should be happy to be in the first tier across the board. As Harmonix mentioned in some interview I saw, those are the songs that get the most exposure, as people end up playing them more often than the later tiers. Not that Nirvana can really use more exposure, but ya know...whatever.

Yeah, I'm a fan, and I think first tier is probably the best place for them. The music just isn't crazy complicated. First tier seems like the obvious place to me.

Nirvana was not overrated for what they were at the time. For a lot of people they brought a new sound and a new energy to a music landscape that had grown stale.

They were not the best band because of their technical skill on instruments but because they were different and were an amazingly incredible live band.

Indeed. I always cringe when people lump Cobain's death in with the likes of Bonham, Moon, Joplin, Hendrix, Vaughan, and other great musicians who died way before their time.

They spearheaded a new movement in music. That's their legacy, not their virtuosity.
