Seeking Advice from Northern New Yorkers!!

Hey everyone!

3 buddies and I are going to take a little road trip on Monday night / Tuesday morning to see if we can get copies of RB.

We are from Ottawa, Canada, and as you know Canadians got the shaft due to shortages. Looking at websites and such, I've decided that Watertown is probably the best destination to get the best shot at multiple hits for Rock Band (Wal-Mart, Best Buy and Circuit City, as well as a Target).

There is also a 24-hour Wal-Mart Supertsore in Evans Mills (near Fort Drum).

Could residents of the area pipe in to give us advice on our best course of action to secure this game? Surely the American-Canadian brotherhood could help us out? :D Just think of it as a modern Underground Railroad! :o

I think we'll try and hit up the Evans Mills 24 hour Wal-Mart at midnight, and if that doesn't work out we'll head down the road to Watertown and camp out. Just ridiculous, but we've been anticipating this since it was announced early this year, and then EA smashed a stake through our heart with their "packaging" issue.

Hello neighbor to the north! Im in Syracuse and can tell you if you need to get this far - you're chances of finding Rock Band are great.

All within about 15 minutes of each other I can think of TWO Best Buys, a Circuit City and a small independant games shop. Also an FYE (that sells games, although I cant say Ive ever been in there. THEN there's the GameStop that I preordered my copy at, right accross from one of the Best Buys!

Another 10 minutes (actually, for you it would be CLOSER, because I have to head NORTH from Syracuse to get there) is Liverpool - my stomping ground. There we have a Target, Wal-Mart, yet 2 MORE Gamestops I can think of. They also have the best Indy games store I know of - it was the ONLY place that had Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the XBox when it shipped all screwy way back when.

If you want to PM me feel free - Ill help you with anything you need. Also, if I had to root for anyone in last years playoffs it was the Senators, simply because my Washington Capitals are shameful.

Dude, I was going to go alone and was looking at maps over the weekend. My problem is I'm out of vacation time to go during the week and I'm in Toronto on the weekend. Man I want to go!

I was trying to figure out if I could go down to Waterton and back on a week night.

hey i'm from Cornwall 45min out from Ottawa and i pre ordered my at the ebgames in massena. it only 1 hour from where you are (take 417 to 138 drive thru Cornwall cross over the brigde and go west for 5 min)and there is a wal-mart there and i think a target look it up might be a shorther drive for you. i'm goin to be there on the 20 if u need help let me know

I'd offer you a ride if weren't already full! But yeah, if you went down to Fort Drum on Monday night, got RB at the 24 Wal-Mart, you could make it back home by 2. Tuesday night and you risk being too late.
