No one cares, I'm sure...but I'm kinda happy. Ok, I already have an Xbox 360...just the 20gb HD though, so of course I was thinking of how much room the RB DLC will eventually need, and I of course plan to get it all, so I was contemplating buying a 120gb HD.
Anyways, then this deal comes up through my internet provider. Right now I pay $44.99/month for DSL, unlimited downloads and the works. For $55.99, $10 more a month, plus $100 down payment, I get an Xbox 360 elite bundle. This has a three year contract, so it would work out to about $500 anyways, but I'd only have to pay like $11 a month...basically like financing it.
So, this kinda works in my favour, because for one, I get the 120gb HD I would have spent $200 on anyways, as well, from what I've heard, the elite has a lot of the bugs the original 360 had, worked out. So , I basically have two HDs, one 120 and one 20...and a backup 360 in case one does go kaput. :P So what I thought is dedicate the 120gb HD to RB, and then save all my game info and downloads from other games on the 20gb HD. :D

Trust me, I know your enthusiasm, I picked one up for myself a few weeks ago. They are slick. You are going to need to send in for a transfer cable though.

Cool stuff, I'll likely pick up/order everything I need, and hopefully my RB order will come in around the same time. Must stock up on MS points... :D
Add me Smidget when you get your 360, and Shiz, if you're not already on my list.

Edit: And I don't think I'll actually need a transfer cable, I'll probably just switch HDs around if I play something other than RB...which I don't see myself doing for a long time, lol. I'm just going to keep all my game saves/downloads where they're at, and have the whole 120 HD for RB songs. :P

I'm not sure how it works, since I don't switch HDDs on my 360, but I would recommend getting a memory card for your profile/gamertag so you don't have to recover it every time you switch HDDs.
I'll probably get a 120GB at one point or another so I can fit RB DLC on.

Ah, very nice. That is a great idea
I won a X-box elite, 10 games and a year of live and happen to have 7200 points (3200 came with the prize) so I can't wait to get that myself, can't wait to play Gears of war and blue dragon. Not getting RB on it though

Yaaaaaay!
Today started off with terrible news. In order to do the $100 down payment thing, etc, I obviously had to wait for pay day, which was today. So, first thing when it opened, I went to the store offering the deal.
They filled out some paperwork, and started to do a credit check. Well, that came back denied, unless I paid $750 down. Ha! I made sure to inform them I could walk 50 feet to Future Shop, buy an Elite bundle and 4-5 games for that price. So, my day started to suck.
So, this afternoon, I went to stores like EB/Microplay to see what the deal could be if I upgraded my premium 360 to an Elite. Microplay said they wouldn't trade, and EB said they could only give me $150 for it. I only bought it in February.
So, again, major suckage. So, then I ask my mom if she'd go with me to the internet store, run a credit check through her name, because she gets phone service through them. Also denied. Another worker there just happens to overhear our convo, and brings up the fact that if you call customer service, they just check your history with their own company, and not credit.
So, I got home, called, and having the internet in my name for over 2 years, she told me I had "perfect" credit with them, and they could no doubt send me the Elite. I will get it in approx 3 business days. I also found out, besides the Elite, it comes with an extra wireless controller, 12 months of Live, headset of course, Halo 3, Forza 2, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Wow. :D
Edit: Now all I need to do is "accidentally" break my old 360 and send it in for repair, so they refund all my MS points back. (Which would be like 6-7000) Hehe :D
